I was 16 years old to this time, and my best friend ( I met her with 8 years old) and me was listening always to this song. It was a summer hit. It was so refreshing to this time. She died with 19 years old and killed by her boyfriend. It was our best time, and hearing this just brings our good memories back. R.I.P. Katja 🕊 R.I.P. Charles 🕊

Wow what a great song after 30 years. Charles died in 2001 but Eddie is still going I saw him on the internet what a great kind man he is . Short grey hair of course but he is such a gentle soul. He was devastated when Charles died. They were great friends. Now I get the impression from Eddie that I see an American Indian in him.❤

@@southerneruk You're so wrong. This track is NOT a remake of any 1970s song. This is the original version, taken from Charles & Eddie's 1992 album, "Duophonic". The lyrics were written by Mick Leeson and Peter Vale, and performed by Charles Pettigrew and Eddie Chacon.

I remember this song...rediscovering it today (2024) I'm sad to now know what happened to them...life is so cruel...but thank you for a beautiful song that shall live on FOREVER! If I was young and about to walk down the aisle ~ this would be my first choice for my first dance...the Bay Area has had some GREAT talent that for one reason or another didn't get to see their full potential (i.e. Tower of Power, Tupac, etc) It really makes me sad, but I'm grateful they did leave us some wonderful music!!!! May God bless you for the rest of your days.
