I have 2007 Kia spectra5 with 180,000. Other than replacing the motor mounts it’s been trouble free. Mine is a 5 speed and it’s fun to drive

@@chrisnwesson4739 heck no, that’s way to expensive for that old a car. Unfortunately I might be junking mine since it needs a new California catylitic converter and the part alone is $1000

I have a Spectra 5 SX for 6 months no trouble I really like it its sporty and cheap to run, the variable valve timing delivers torque from only a 4 banger down low because its on the exuast valves the opposite of VTEC , the power output is consistant across the rpm range , ity revs really high easily ,thats why this car feels powerful even though its not a large engine and its not a super fast car, I have run 7 and a half 0-60 in this car easily so its above average

I just picked up a white 2006 Kia Spetra5 5spd Man. In Washington for $3500. 200,000 miles brand new clutch and throw-out bearing. New brakes, water pump and radiator 2,000 miles ago

I had a red 2006 KIA Spectra5, 5spd man, w/ fact sunroof. LOVED IT. I'm 6'3", and, then, was about 250, and I fit great! It actually was quite roomy! The hood scoop and the gold emblem were NOT OEM! It came pretty well equipped, there weren't many options available. I don't think the red around the gauges and center cluster is original.

It was actually a fun car to drive, out of traffic, with the manual trans! The handling was tight, kinda go-cart-like. And, while no speed demon, it was QUICK! Easy to hit 90+ on the high way before you know it! Any turbo would be aftermarket. NOT an OEM option!

My kia loves to go. She just loves going. She has 195xxx. I paid 1200. It's a 138hp 4cly NA engine with a 4 speed automatic.

to be honest the mid-high rpm power/torque is an absolute blast oddly enough anything at 3rd gear lower then 55mph is quite sluggish because it goes deep into the 2000 rpm range but when your up to about 70-75mph 3rd and 4th gear and geared quite well to provide power when needed as when you start pushing it it will go down into 3rd and start pulling pretty good at mid rpms

I bought an 05 from my buddy for 450 bucks! I sold my Challenger, and needed something fuel efficient. This car (mine's an 05) is a fkn beast! No power, of course, but AC and heater work great. Fuel efficiency is amazing!

Them things are tanks. Got a 05 I got in 06 that's still running to this day. Yeah kias depreciate greatly like a free fall. At a certain point you have to drive it to the end or forever or give it away 😆 but it is reliable. No nonsense barebones basic car that will get you where you need to go.

@@crazykenbei she exploded 6 months ago. 4th became neutral. 1-3 were crunchy. Engine was barely hanging in there. Something about 2:1.ratio of Lucas to "head gasket repair".

I have the same problem at my work this guy doesnt need a job he cant do anything too physical so the younger guys are always picking up the slack, on the other hand my grandfather died as soon as he had to retire from fixing marine engines but damn its annoying.

Exact same colors as the Kia my mom had. The dash board wasn't red tho. It lasted a very long time. Eventually in 2019 it was really rusted up and the entire bottom was rusted up. She traded the thing in and $300....

I Got a 2009 Spectra 5 for only 2500 bucks, I wasnt planning on buying a KIA but after test driving it I liked it too much had to buy it even though I had a budget of 5000 bucks, good thing it was cheap it needs a timing belt and new tires

My mom had the same one this guy is driving but in 2019 the thing broke after it hit a big bump in the road since the bottom of the car was really rusty. So she traded it in and since it was in bad shape she only got $300

@@schultz8122 I live in an area cars dont rust much I got the Spectra 5 SX almost a year ago I love it , the only problem I had is doors and windows freezing in the freezing temps and the rear strut assemblies a shot need replcement, overall I love my Spectra 5 SX

It’s non Turbo 2.0L four. we had a 05 Spectra ex that same exact 2.0 Litre engine ran like a Timex watch. We bought it used in 05 it had 8,800 miles. We put 224,000 miles on it before my wife and sister in law hit a big buck deer. The insurance totaled it I drove it to the Bodyshop for it to be taken. It drove straight as sheet of glass the ac still work heater work never had a issue except I let the timing belt lapse and the engine is a interference so had to pull the head to get fixed other than it was my fault on the timing belt she ran the interstate 75-90 all day long. Miss that ride. Have a Blessed One Sir Eddie Patterson, Silverstreet South Carolina.

I had one, stock, not goofed up like this. While only 140 hp, it had fantastic handling (for a front wheel drive). Not true on longevity. I knew an owner with 320,000 miles. So no 152,000 is not alot of miles At 140,000 I was just "thinking" about changing shocks. Then the driver went through a stop sign and t-boned a chevy SUV. The suv was incapacitated. The spectra 5 needed a new nose cone and un-bend the hood lip. The chassis was straight. So you need to fix your brain on Kia's. Your perceptions are way off.

Them Spectras can go and on and on if you wish it to. They're tanks. People usually get rid of them cause they're tired of it haha. Got a 05 bought in 06 thats still zipping around to this day haha. Wish they still made sedans that size.
