It's an old fable about a frog giving a scorpion a lift over a river but the scorpion stings him half way across and they both drown. The frog asks why and the scorpion says that's his nature to sting.

It happens to all long running shows especially a comedy, they talked about this on their podcast saying they aren't in their 20s anymore when the show started but are middle aged now and it would be sad and impossible to recreate their younger selves. It has dipped but I'll still watch till it ends.
