If this is how the universities teach kids to debate which should be done to a certain degree in each class, they are doing a failing job. In debate, you DO NONT speak over your opponent. You allow them to make their point and then they allow you to start your case. Poor job performance there!

They don’t really teach debate unless you take logic or argumentation courses. I think you barely scratch the surface in critical thinking and general speech courses. Even when you teach this to someone, it takes practice to be able to speak and argue publicly…unless you’re naturally gifted at oration. Kirk is really good at it: he does this for a living, so I wouldn’t expect any less.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that in 19 and 74, Arlen High was playing the Wahachy Cowboys. The ball was on the 3 yard line with 5 second left. Arlen needed that touchdown to win. And that's when Coach called for Bill "The Billdozer" Dauterive. He went to score the game winning touch down, chipping his spine on that play.

It’s not that because you want these things that you’re socialists. I because who you want to provide those things for you. Also the vast majority of fire departments are volunteers, and operate off of donations. That shows an ability to do so without socialism, but wait there’s more. EMT’s are private companies also. What the kid is saying isn’t wrong. I think Kirk is just used to dealing with collectivist ideologies that are easier to pierce through. Anarcho Capitalism is something that will take a little more thought to debate.

Socialism should make the goods we need without making a profit via taxes, which would have no reason to be greed, unless tax funds would be embezzeled. which would be a corruption problem.

Agreed, it is difficult to watch. But also because so often on these Charlie Kirk videos, the questioner clearly has no interest in LEARNING something, in seeing a differing viewpoint. They will swallow whatever garbage their professors feed them with no concern. But an informed professional guest speaker is there and they refuse to even consider his considerable knowledge, wisdom and expertise.

Good debate: Charlie over 10% is socialist? Florida is not socialist? I have to pay a state tax on almost all my purchases and my property taxes are high. I came from Wisconsin that had a state income tax, but in Florida they get you on insurance and other fees. The public schools in Florida are bad vs Wisconsin public schools, BTW there has always been some kind of tax, yes it might of been less than 2% but it was a tax. Charlie we have always paid a tax. We live in a socialist type of republic period!

Omg The people who are for free health care and no taxes should not live in the country. The country’s with free healthcare are suffering so bad. We have a program that allows people to go to the hospital and can’t be denied access even if they can’t pay. If you have a hospital bill that you can’t pay it will be covered by the state. I do agree that the system needs to be changed but, not free healthcare

I've never heard a valid argument in favor of capitalism. Proponents of capitalism only ever try to implement gaslighting and/or logical fallacies. Really. Try to have a sane, civil, honest conversation with any proponent of capitalism, and they'll prove my point. But if you like all manner products within the capitalst matrix, if you own a business, and have employees. and you still want a much more sane and harmonious economic system, You're Not A Fucking Hypocrite. Don't let them silence you with that weak argument . It would be just as ridiculous to argue that one is a hypocrite for drinking city tap water, when they had no other options , and therefore one shouldn't be able consider better sources of water. Narcissistic personality disorder is an epedemic. And when they project "well the problem is nobody wants to work. " Ask them what landlords even fucking do . Ask them what the CEO of Starbucks actually does . Etc. No shade at seasons of nondoership. But shade @ projection.

5:26 "socialism is you cannot own the property that you desire" is completely false. Socialism is just where the government has state owned and government owned corporations. There is nothing to do with land ownership, or property. You can own property like couches and houses and TV's in a socialist country.
