This is a surprisingly enlightening scene in terms of Charlie's dynamic with Alastor. Usually, Alastor pushes his way into every encounter with powerful people if he feels like demonstrating his control and his reputation is important, Lucifer's visit to the hotel being the foremost example. He's used to being the center of attention and the one in control of the room at the hotel, and I think Charlie has gotten used to that as well, since you see her actually looking back to him here even when Rosie is speaking to her directly, and he actually looks completely comfortable with hanging back in the wings. She looks surprised that Alastor is actually letting her take the lead and he only butts in once it's clear she's struggling to communicate her point.
