These two are like the kobe + shaq of investing. they are both amazing and their high level intelligence was on full display here. They called that valiant was a fraud, and they also had a very nuanced view on the morality of how valiant was messing around with the insurance deductibles.

Amazing to hear Mungers thoughts on Ackman there. Imagine having Charlie Munger say those things about you. Absolutely one of the best compliments possible other than being let into the gates of heaven.

Lobbying and the insurance companies are worse than Valeant will ever be. Valeant is actually better than most of these companies

Sounds like a form of rebating ... which is illegal under insurance law. Did I miss something?

The issue with paying a part of the deductible is that this then makes their product be the one that patients choose the most. The rest of the price of the drug will get foisted onto the insurance company.
