These two are like the kobe + shaq of investing. they are both amazing and their high level intelligence was on full display here. They called that valiant was a fraud, and they also had a very nuanced view on the morality of how valiant was messing around with the insurance deductibles.

Sounds like a form of rebating ... which is illegal under insurance law. Did I miss something?

The issue with paying a part of the deductible is that this then makes their product be the one that patients choose the most. The rest of the price of the drug will get foisted onto the insurance company.
