Just another pop star is already not underrated. He already had top hits and used to grab the world's music by the balls. He only quiet down for a couple years but even while he is quiet he still smack some good hits.

@@Bob-em6kn read my comment again, i never said Charlie as a popstar is underrated (he is huge in our country, don't get me wrong, and is almost a household name here). i said he was underrated for his extra talents, like his ability to nail the perfect pitch etc. :)

Part of what makes Charlie Puth special is he has perfect pitch (a rare ability of a person to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone). And I think that’s why he’s able to make things he hears in his head perfectly come to life

Even the kid Laroi was telling interviewers that they were jamming together with Charlie and Charlie was doing this crazy beats and so he added lyrics and that was the start of “Stay”. Even not knowing this, just hearing that song it’s easy to Id it as unmistakably Charlie Puth beat! He’s a genius and so generous, he could have easily included this in his upcoming album 💡.

Yes, Charlie puth helped make the beat to stay, he actually came up with the idea for the instrumental and used a highly tuned electric piano to make the main melody

Of course he’s a brilliant musician. But all these Tik Toks with pretending to create a song in just in a few steps is just very good marketing. I bet the song was done even before he started doing the Tik Toks for it. But can’t wait for the release. It’s gonna be a Hit for sure.

I getcha 😂 they make it look so easy, and you start to think to yourself “well if it’s that easy then I could do this and I could do that.” I think it’s genius that he shared the process in TikTok, whether it was real or not. It feels staged but he’s smart for doing that because nowadays people want to see the process; they want the behind-the-scenes experience.

I'm not saying he's him but it was said that Mozart would fully compose his entire movement in his head and then all he had to do was transpose it onto paper. His work had very little if any corrections. It's crazy how some people's minds can work.

Tbf, these are re-creations of his creative process for TikTok. It's not him coming up with it on the spot. We know this because he has posted snippets of songs that half a year later he gave this treatment to. Some of these songs were fully written, although maybe not Light Switch in its entirety. But it's definitely a marketing strategy to make people feel like they're there with the creation of the song.

I've seen maybe 4 of these videos where the artist says What if there was a sound like- , and the drums make a beat like- Not just Charlie Puth, but a couple of artists I don't recognize (I'm old). So I'm not sure that is was as easy as it looks in the video.
