Maybe I'm reading the scene wrong, but the first part of this date is actually low-key really sweet. When Charlie just gives up on his lie and defeatedly says "I'm a janitor at a bar," I read her expression as being sympathetic towards him because he's obviously trying really hard to impress her and he's nervous as hell. That, coupled with the fact that she DIDN'T immediately bail after "full-on rapist" says to me that the date may have actually gone okay had Mac and Dennis not stepped in to "help." Keep in mind that all of this is AFTER seeing his dating profile with the horrible picture and incomprehensible answers.

Charlie handing the bloody napkin back at the lady. I think that's most underrated moment in the entire show.

Must have watched this scene 50 times and only now noticed that it was Dennis that slapped Charlie when he went to 'make a move'.
