They would put him in a psych ward long enough to get him sober, and through detox. They would put him on an enforced regiment of medications, and once he's stabilized on them, they would move him into the clink, where I'm sure he'll be quickly separated from gen pop. He'd probably only see a handful of other prisoners each day.

My best friend is a champion MMA fighter. He got locked up on a BS misdemeanor a few years back and he was just doing his own thing and being himself (hes a really quiet and nice guy outside the ring) but some asshole went and told everyone he was a tough dude. In about 2 hours 3 different guys tried to test him. He DESTROYED all of them. After that no one was willing to push it any further. One of those idiots almost lost an eye after my friend almost shattered his cheekbone with a left hook. This would not be Charlies story. His would end up in the editorial section of Prison Bride Magazine. With pics of the honeymoon.
