Young Jesus wasn't THAT well-behaved. Remember that time when He was 12 and wandered off while His parents were in the temple, and they had to take a three-day detour to go back for Him? Only to find Him sitting in the temple courts conversing with the elders like it was His job? (Technically, it was, but still...)

Jup, second of eight. Most of the time it was fun growing up, but it was tough. And now that most of us are adults and moved out it's only benefits. You always have siblings you can ask to help you move, paint, do gardening, fix stuff and borrow nearly everything from. The youngest ones come for sleepovers and end up helping you with household chores. You always have a busy birthday party and frequent calls when you're feeling a little down. For my parents it's also nice. They can ask for help from so many of us, give us loads of parenting advice and won't have to worry about being lonely when they get old.

@@oakpkdude i never said this was about money. Some parents fail at looking after one child already. I'm the oldest out if four and the only reason we were able to "manage" was because i became a second mom basically. I'm fine now and I'm happy most of the time. There is a reason why i get called Sunny. But behind closed doors i still have issues that i have to deal with, though my therapist helpes a lot with that. 12 children sounds like you're simply creating a system where you force your children (even if you dont want to) to take over parental duties while giving them less attention on top of it. That guy might've turned out fine, but the result doesnt excuse the process/method. Other people might end up feeling unloved, used and resentful and thats not even the worst case. When they said that it takes a village to raise a child they didnt mean create the village out of your other children first.

My family had 6 children, and I'm 3 of 6. Yes, we were Catholic. No, we were not home schooled. My parents sent us to Catholic school and had the nuns take care of that. One nun gave us homework to do over Christmas vacation, because she said that an idle mind and idle hands were the devil's workshop. Sister Gerald, my 7th grade math teacher, didn't have a ruler. She had a yard stick. It was a pointer and a slapper. God rest her soul. When I see her in Heaven, I will recognize her because she will be carrying that yard stick.

I'm reading these comments and there's a surprisingly large number of people from 8+ children families. I'm suddenly very grateful for having only 1 sibling and being younger than him

I’m the youngest of 11! 1st question was always “Irish Catholic?” 😂

I'm also the youngest of 11!! Quickest way for me to piss off my siblings is by saying "Mom and Dad stopped at perfection.....finally got the one they wanted" 😇😂

@@sarahpratt4882 I’m the youngest of 10. My mom used to joke she kept going til she got it right. She was amazing - one of the strongest women I’ve ever known.

I'm Jewish and grew up in an Orthodox community and having an army of children was normal. Basically the older kids raise the younger ones

Great bit Charlie, very funny. I'm one of twelve, by an overwhelming margin the top question is "what number are you?" I've never been asked about home schooling or if I'm a Mormon, I assume that's geographical. btw... I'm the 8th.
