I'm not gonna lie. I enjoyed S1 more than S2 mainly because while there were doing too much, I was still invested in the story and characters. This season...Eh. I just wasn't as invested. Not to mention it felt like Mel was just regulated to background character with not much to do. Plus the Harry/Macy romance story line was dragged out WAY TOO MUCH to the point where I just don't care anymore. And don't even get me started on Maggie being attracted to guys with girlfriends. I didn't care for that in S1 and I still didn't like it in S2. Plus it seems like this show is FAR too focused on who the girls are sleeping with as opposed to them being sisters.

Funny thing is a lot of people are talking about how s2 was better... but I preferred s1 - s2 didn't click for me at all. I preferred the feel of s1 and maybe that is because it was closer to the original. Gonna be real, I never understood why they wanted to reboot charmed it's clear they didn't like the concept or the original show.

I would have wanted more of a sisterhood and more magic ... while Mel had no powers maybe she would have shown herself how to write spells and some how writing her own book of shadows.

Absolutely agree with everything I enjoyed season 2 more than season 1 because it felt more grounded in that we were able to explore those characters individually and this new complex world and I honestly believe if we had the remaining 3 episodes this season would have been amazing and nicely tied up One of my biggest fear with how rushed season 1 was, was where do the go from here when the did the source of all evil in season 1 and where extremely powerful with so many powers so I was impressed with the season 2 soft reboot to start fresh with these characters and expand the world with the demon world, the fraction the multiple charmed ones prophecy and how one always dies, the white and darklighter lore honestly this season was more than I hoped for

I loved season 2 and they already renewed it for season 3

I didn't know that the season was cut short. It did feel unfinished, I just thought it was a bad ending. Thank you for that. Season two was really a reboot of the reboot lol. And I loved it for that. I loved that they stripped the powers and let them allowed them to earn them back. That was a major issue for me in the first season. They felt overpowered. Much like superman, where there stopped being any tension because if there was already a known power to defeat whatever is the issue. One would be introduced out of left field. I enjoy that they introduced the command center. I used to wonder why the charmed ones only really seemed to protect San Francisco. I LOVED the explanation on this version's power of three. Loved the acknowledgement that they weren't the first set of Charmed ones. I hope "the faction" does stick around for many seasons to come. I absolutely adore Abigail!! A major theme of this season was "how far are you willing to go and what are you willing to sacrifice to do what you feel is right". They stepped away from the episodic way of writing towards a more serialized approach and this season feels less "forced". During the first season, all the answers were given to them. I like that they are learning about magic with us. It's finally beginning to find it's footing and I love that.

They need to show and stop telling. We learn a lot about the supernatural world but they need to have more direct and have the most two big mysteries and other just little bumps in the way.

Though season 1 went way too fast with source all evil + elders dying the structure made sense. Season 2 is just all over the place. I want to give it a chance I just can't. The sets are great but reused a lot. The characters are just repetative. Abigail is a great actress, reminds me of Cole from original, just her story arc isn't that interesting. She cannot be trusted because she is evil, the 100th time. I liked how the writers did reflect that demons has lives too so Charmed ones vanquishing them is a different outlook of murder. Macy's love interest with Harry just felt too forced and at times drawn out with no payoff. Mel's story arc was too focused on who's she sleeping with next. Also her acting was weird this season, for example scene where Maggie was having her first panic attack, felt like she was dying, and Mel went to Maggie seeming like she was reading a script. Only character I semi liked was Maggie, I felt like her acting this season carried a lot of the weight. Parker was really interesting at first, but his writing was weird too. Demon-overlord who sacrifice his powers for a girl who will not accept him because of what he said while under demon influence. I was like.... Okay I guess.. The introduction of the new elder was just dumb. She has abilities to cast but she gets introduced by being tied back of a cars trunk. Her story arc just felt like bad writing. My biggest pet peeves though is Mr. Shea and his aunt. I didn't mind their overall story arc. I just felt like the writers wrote themselves into a corner from the last episode 19. Though not public the existence of witches is known to a group of people. If they do a time reversal spell it would just undermine everything that happened, but I don't see how they can fix this giant plot hole. Do they stop Shea and their aunt by killing them? Doub it. Overall it's not bad and some parts are good to watch like Maggie saving Jordan during birthday cake scene, that was great filming, set up, etc. But so many scenes just felt unnecessary, not useful, and filler.

I hated that they didn't give mel anything this season biggest mistake ever They watered down her character to push hacy. I love hacy but to he honest mel and harry had more chemistry in season one with the you remind me of someone thing. In season 1 we didnt even got a hint that hacy had a slight liking Mel and Abigail could be a great dynamic. They need to use this to their advantage and create good stories with these two. We need better storylines for mel she is the leader of the group and was pushed to the side. She should have more issues as she was the one who wanted to be a witch.

I'm binged watching all the seasons 1 and 2 to critique it and compare I think because were watching it weekly we dont get to feel it fully

Great view point as Normal Eloy, I think that by keeping them separate they didn't have to focus so much on the power of three aspect. With that it's like you said"that's why we watch" hopefully we see growth in sister hood beyond the magic. It wasn't the magic that made Halliwells it was their sisterly bond. Those wonderful playful moments in which we understood that these young women were extremely close despite the rivalry. Even when Paige reconstituted the power she was drawn into the sister hood before she even knew them personally. That is the foundation the series has to be built on inorder to be captivating to me. In something Wicca this way comes we see the power of three do something that's over looked by the reboot, the subtle pulling of the sisters together in the pic grams took. That is the power, Interconnection manifested into three being making them one. I also think that's what the guardian was referring to.

i liked the season but i think the power loss went on for too long. and the focus on relationships and love triangles/squares it felt more like a soap opera/drama and magic felt like a foot note in the story. i did like that magic slowly got reintroduced into the story because for awhile it felt like the macy & harry show.

I feel like even with out the reboot stuff the this season was not strong let’s get this out of the way it’s a bad reboot . As a show on its own it could work and be very good but it hates its self they said oh let it’s got rid of everything from the first season . you might as well not even watch season one cause none of that matters .they got rid of the girls love Intrist galvin Parker Nico the elders the book of shadows they moved city’s no more white-lighters except for Harry this season actually killed off the magical community they were suppose to be protecting and it also got rid of the shows values it branded it self as a progressive feminists show but mocks those elements it used to have the entire season. They also got rid of the book of shadows the girls original powers Maci kept her power to move objects at least but they got rid of her Demon side story line they got rid of Maggie and mels powers and replaced them at one point they got rid of the power of three and they were actually okay with not having it . It’s as if the show hates its self and decided it didn’t want to be charmed it wanted to be something else and I am not talking about OG charmed I am talking about the mythos they set up for this show they burned it all down and meandered all season doing nothing until the end . It’s a shame cause they had a lot of good ideas but they weren’t really explored they often they chose to have the girls do nothing in different side quest there are so many episodes where we don’t even see them together until the end of the episode.i could go on and on but you get the picture this season was a mess

🌿 I grew up watching thee Og “Charmed” 🪄 & continually watch the Book Of shadows dvd 📀 set once thru every year. I like 👍🏻 thee reboot but, nothing can touch the original.🔮

Maybe the Demon overlord is like what "the source" was in the original charmed ???

I have a couple of theories for season 3... so i watched a live a while back with Madeleine Martock and Rupert Evans. They were asked if the book of shadows or the source will come back and without saying it they pretty much confirmed they were planning to bring them back. So this got me thinking and my first theory is that Abigail has moved into the charmed ones house to be closer to harry so she can search his mine using her demon mind meld to locate the source pieces. And I think she might have got some clues last time she was in harry mind as to where he hid the pieces. If she gets the source pieces or even a piece i feel like she might use them to alter reality like macy did to bring back her father Alastair and mabey her brother too so she can show them how she has succeeded where they had fail. If she did that would mean all Alastair's children would be alive in this new reality and could possibly be the trio of darkness from the prophecy the ghost witch told Jordan. This would also mean that other character from season one could come back and also the sisters could regain their identities back and not be legally dead. My second theory has to do with the book of shadow. I feel like when the book opened the portal for the sisters which stripped them of their charmed status, that maybe like in buffy It had enacted the next set of charmed ones and the book has been past on to them or maybe just a witch relative of the sisters but if there is a new set of charmed ones they could also be the dark trio from the prophecy. My last theory has to do with elder Celest. I feel like she is not tell us everything and I feel like there is more to the story of why she is no longer an elder. I also think she could have been a previous charmed one and maybe she had something to do with the death of one of her sisters ( because one is always prophesied to die) and that why she started experiment with transferring magic to the dead in this whole Necromanci/alchemy thing shes has going on and if she can bring her sister back maybe they will be the dark trio. Also I feel like there are more whitelighters and darklighters out there some where because Helen was the first and her darklighter was not bottled (so at what point did they decide to bottle the dark half) and I feel like Helen was attempt one but they can't have just perfected it after one go so there must be other versions of whitelighters they've made inbetween right ? I love this show so much 🥰🥰🥰

I liked the idea of cutting all ties with season one & steering in a new direction. There were good and entertaining episodes in season two, but the storyline was sometimes really confusing.... Abigael - I've never warmed up to her. Too much focus on Harry´s character, that annoyed me a lot. I mean the main characters are the 3 sisters and not Harry! My Wow!-moments: the Command Center, Black Amber, Mel´s new power Molecular Manipulation and the fact Macy, Mel and Maggie are not the only Charmed ones.

I'm gonna wait for the series to end and then watch it as a whole - I dont have a patience for new charmed..I feel like the girls dont do ANYTHING on their own...like NOTNING they ALWAYS need help...this show sould be called magic protectors doesn't need the title of 'charmed' not having their powers and complaining about for bgh half the season was a no for me...the whole "source" thing was just...why...they did so much in the first season they HAD to basically reboot the second season..I dont like big changes that early in a series....og charmed was slow..but I appreciated the build up. the sisters have ABSOLUTELY NO RELATIONSHIP like NONE - it's all magic all the time...like a girl version of supernatural......the magical layer, the magical tree, the portal thing they use...calling it charmed created the ultimate distraction

There were too many mysteries I really wanted the demon and witch war and parker should go all evil and Abigail be the same
