Okay, so, there's never a great time to plot these things out. Originally I was going to do this when I reached 100K, but I was occupied with other things at the time and it just put me off from doing so. It was going to be this HUGE collaboration with other Creators and I had a huge surprise I wanted to show people, but with the #SonicMovie approaching, my friend Nathaniel Bandy and I decided to put videos out celebrating it. He released his Triggered back in November of 2019 when the movie was originally meant to be released, but with the delay, I pushed mine back as well, to coincide. Honestly, I hadn't played this game when it came out, because I didn't have a console to play it on at the time. I only played it for the first time around 2013. I had heard so many awful things about this game so when I played it... I guess my expectations were so low that I actually enjoy this game. Like, it's bad. It's an awful game. But just because a game is bad, it doesn't mean I can't enjoy it. #ItsNoUse

I love this version of the cinemasins gag, because it doesn't misrepresent the source material for cheap laughs. It's a well-crafted takedown of a bad game, and I love it.

In Silver's defence, he was in a pretty desperate situation when it comes to saving the future. Also he is in an apocalyptic world with no parents or family to tell him what's what when it comes to gullibility

late response, but it could also be more to that. people tend to judge other peoples actions citing their own knowledge and experiences, which is a major reason why silver is considered an idiot. as you said, he comes from an apocalyptic world. he would not have heard the same stories we have, and would be unable to recognize typical character archetypes and storytelling tropes. also, considering his world was destroyed by a fire demon (and fire is bright) which spawned from a sun god, light might symbolize evil in his culture, so someone affiliated with darkness would seem more trustworthy in comparison

Yeah. Then again, Blaze seemed to be more mature and not as hotheaded as Silver, though that doesn't necessarily mean that she didn't believe Mephiles too. Plus, they were conveniently separated when they went through Mephiles's portal, so she couldn't keep Silver from doing anything rash even if she wanted.

Like a previous comment but late response. Silver is also if I remember correctly 14. He is very emotional as shown in the game so a lot of what he does can be chalked up to that. Like him believing Mephiles as well as him attempting to punch Shadow rather then use his telekinesis

@@kylecampbell565 Eggman only needed one Emerald for his experiments; he tried to take Elise's, and ended up taking Sonic's. If he had the Red Emerald, he wouldn't have bothered with the others. Another thing to point out is that he used the Blue Emerald to power up the Egg Genesis, which Silver destroyed. If he was going to put Emeralds in his machines, one of them ought to have dropped the Red Emerald if he had it.

90% of the time Sonic games assume you got the emeralds before the final story. The only games that bother showing them obtaining the emeralds are the adventure games, this one and unleashed. I don't think they expected us to question why they have all of them.

I think I just realised why the load screens are so long, and why they're everywhere in between dialogue boxes. I think the game actually despawns everything and reloads the ENTIRE hub world every time there's a scene change. Instead of, like, just despawning the relevant things and moving them around.

Pretty much. It's loading in everything in stages too, like In Flame Core as Sonic and Shadow, it'll also load in the segment for Silver too, even though it doesn't need to since the others shouldn't be able to reach it.

Something I read said its actually worse than that. While yes, the game rebuilds the world from scratch every load screen, it is also reading *all of the game files* front to back to find the ones it needs. Every load screen. Thats also why the load screens always take the same amount of time. Because the game doesn't continue until it has checked EVERY SINGLE FILE to make sure it has loaded everything being called for the current level/scene.

Blaze is 14, she's not old enough to be the queen yet, so she has an excuse. The rest don't really, unless Elise is under 18, which, given that Sonic is 15, should be the case, otherwise that's a can of worms I don't want to open.

@@andrewgreeb916 and did so by failing to listen to anyone except the bad guy. And all he was even shown was sonic frowning inside a fire. Sonic could have simply just been mad that someone's house burned down, or any number of other reasons.... and he even asked mephiles why sonic wants to destroy the world and got an answer equivalent to "you doing this or not?", which is suspicious as all hell. Plus, Blaze is supposed to be his "mentor" and just.... let it all happen.... Seems less "naive" and just flat out "moronic".... and not just on silver's part too

30:53 Another thing to consider is that this means that the blue emerald is in an endless loop. First Elise had it, then Sonic, then Eggman, then Silver, and back to Elise when Silver goes back in time.

XD i like how THIS sin, just the fact the creators of this game left in outtake, is what pisses Charriii5 greatly, not all the plot holes about something like Chaos Control, not even Elise getting captured multiple times that Peach has it easy, its just the fact a BLOOPER, of all things, was used and not even edited properly into the game, just use the voice as it is

Interesting idea, but there are two problems with that 1: Silver gave Elise the blue emerald, not the turquoise one, but to be fair they could’ve easily swapped them out 2: A much bigger issue, how would it then show up in Sonic 2 and subsequent games?

Peach is kidnapped once, maybe twice at worst, in any given game, and sometime she isn't kidnapped at all, or she is the one doing the rescue. Elise almost managed to match Peach for times being kidnapped in a single game. Yeah, I know I'm, exagerating... but not that much.

You know, weirdly enough, I'm fine with the chaos emerald's no limit rules and how it can just do whatever. They're called "chaos" emeralds Chaos is by definition involves lawlessness and a lack of order So it almost makes sense they have no real limit to their powers

In Sonic Rivals, Eggman Nega stealing the Master Emerald in the future causes it to disappear from Angel Island in the present due to it being something along the lines of "an object that exists across the time-space continuum." Things like this aren't just ignored, the fact that they're strange is normal in the world of Sonic, which is why I, just like you, am fine with the lack of rules they have.

45:27 In a way, i can see this as clever and even efficient, mephiles could simply just go back in time to merge back with iblis without much interuptions, but he doesn't, he chooses to do this very complicated plan involving tricking and manipulating silver, mentally torturing shadow, and killing sonic because, he just can, there's nothing holding him back, he gets what he wants, while doing something he likes, not to mention, he further locks his plan as foolproof, killing the one guy that can stop him, he has no motivation for this, he just likes seeing others in despair.

Plan A is your optimistic if everything goes right plan that will get you the best results. Plan B is achieving the main goal. I think you misunderstood the whole "If you have time to worry, then run!" advice from Sonic. It's not really a metaphor for evading your problems; he actually meant taking action instead of worrying. Because he's Sonic, he used running as an example of taking action, since that's literally how he solves his problems (as you yourself pointed out when he took action by running). That's the only critique I have, of course. This video is pure gold. Keep doing God's work.

My guess as to why Rouge can somehow climb walls is most likely because she was modeled on the same character engine as Knuckles. Knuckles can both climb and glide so when they needed to work on Rouge they probably piggy backed off of Knuckles as he already had the gliding mechanic but they forgot to remove the wall climbing mechanic as well. Hence why Rouge can climb walls.

Fun fact: shortly after Sonic '06 came out, the game's director tried to say that Blaze was from the future alongside Silver, but Sonic Rush established that she is from an alternate universe, as she is that universe's Sonic. It got so bad that Sonic Rush's director had to flat-out say to disregard Blaze's backstory in Sonic '06 and that it isn't canon.

2:38 to be fair, The raid on the ark happened 50 years ago, meaning, that if G.U.N works like the military then the absolute youngest age one could join would be 17. Meaning that anyone who was a part of the raid would be, at the youngest, 67 by the time Eggman freed Shadow. I highly doubt a 17-year-old would have been in charge of G.U.N. at the time of the raid, meaning, that the person who was in charge of G.U.N. would probably be around 80-ish years old. Considering the regulations in place for how long an officer can work for the military, It's a safe bet to say that anyone who was in charge of G.U.N. during the raid would have most likely retired by the time Eggman freed Shadow. So when Shadow joined G.U.N. most if not all of the people who had worked for G.U.N. during the raid would have retired. It's not fair to judge people for actions that they themselves had nothing to do with. So, Shadow most likely joined G.U.N. because A) Rouge (his close friend) works for G.U.N. and B) none of the people who were in charge of the raid would be working for G.U.N by now.
