Ryan Walker! I have no idea how that front leg works the way it does for him. Crazy how he's able to wrap around his torso to still get stacked.

Wake said his movement was horrible. Cleaned up his flexibility. He should be Hunter Greene, with more pitches and experience. Super excited for the Reds and Burn's future.

It’s weird, he gets a bunch of whiffs but also a good amount of home runs for how good his stuff is. Maybe it’s just location, but is there another reason for that and what could he do to help that.

9:30 but his hips are facing probably the guy on deck or even behind no? I don’t understand the whole “he’s opening his hips so much to create separation”. I just see a little bit of hip rotation or “enough” with crazy t spine extension. Would be nice to see a different angle but is it possible that his t spine just compensates and creates that range for him instead. Or maybe I’m just used to seeing the 1%ers when it comes to that specific detail. Or maybe it doesn’t look like he’s opening his hips so much because of stride direction? Idk

I have the exact same opinión here, it doesn't seen like those 40 or 50 degrees that Ben is talking about, I only see like 20 being honest. But maybe we are crazy 😅

It's easier to see from the back view, and depends when you define foot strike (weight bearing or initial touchdown). I would be interested to see what value a motion capture reports, if it's closer to 30 degrees or more like 50 degrees.

It might be obvious since he throws in the triple digits and exerts an insane amount of force, but is he vulnerable to a potential and incoming TJ surgery?

Being a Vol fan, we liked Chase but he never got to the level of consistent weekend starter. He's had ups and downs in short order. Come in in relief and pitch great, next game some issues. At the level TN is with how many elite pitchers TN has and invests in Burns wanted a guarantee that he's a weekend starter, especially seen all the depth and talent moving up and he'd be competing against in 24 at TN, so It was probably in his best interest to hit the portal if he wasn't sure enough about himself competing against all that talent at TN. Can't say enough good things about the kid though. But he probably wasn't expecting TN to be the #1 team in the nation with only two weeks before the post season. Wake is a very good team and hope he continues to get better and improve. Top ten pitcher pick? I think so. Top ten overall? He needs a great post season imo to increase that odds.

@@jackgold9636 Actually I do and I know that because TN is the # team in the country..lol But congrats on breaking the top 10! lol. That's impressive the lesser that conference Wake is in.. lol No TN fan get get why Chase left. I mean he was on his way to work into a starting role over the weekend, instead of being up and down closer last year. It's not like Wake has a better pitching staff than TN and so far, he is still pretty much doing the same job he did at TN.. Some guys just fear competition and that was Burns. Did you see what TN did to a top 4 team yesterday? (A&M). That level of pitching from Stamos and Causey, Chase Burns burns couldn't do in a starting role and as a closer. Up and, up down. So yeah, it was a good move for him to go to Wake considering how deep our pitching is. If he was the same pitcher this year as he was last year and still at TN and didn't improve the way we needed him to, he'd still be the occasional weekend relief. But play us and the best offense in the country will rock him lol GBO!
@gwhite7136
@gwhite7136 2 ай бұрын
@@jackgold9636 IN short, Burns had to be the best pitcher on the team if he were to have a chance at starting weekends. And, well he wasn't the best pitcher last year and he wouldn't be this year. Smart move, Causey, AJ Russell, Drew Beam, and Stamos would have been ahead of him. And stiff competition from Behnke and Combs for weekend relief, and man I didn't even mention Snead who throws 102..lol

@@jackgold9636 Dude, we all fans know Burns better than you ever will. lol. Your not convincing anyone we're wrong. lol. I hope you all get to host some in the reginals, your like on the cusp of that 16 to 18th range. But TN is a lock for hosting through super regionals. Do you know why that is? Because we don't cave to cry babies that say they should be a weekend starter when they didn't earn that level. If your beat out or chicken out from that competition that they are better off leaving for a school like Wake, in a weaker conference.. lol I've watched pitchers come and for over 45 years and Chase isn't that much different from many that have potential but their own entitlement gets in the way. Little bro..lol

How do you guys know you aren't harming these kids by encouraing them to throw faster and harder over and over and making fun of them when they don't? Maybe their bodies aren't ready for this. Do you guys offer insurance for them if they get injured doing what you tell them to do?
@nickphillips2099

Yep. It's why so many pitchers are having Tommy John surgery. The elbow simply can't handle throwing these velocities repeatedly.

That's a great question. Generally, people take credit for when guys do well or throw harder, but you will never see them acknowledge anything they have taught, may have taught, failed to encourage... contribute to an injury. Just a business and not good for the brand.
