The salmon run badges are some of the hardest in the game for me. I have played exactly 200 shifts at this point in the game and I only have 2 boss splats total. I have a massive respect to people who overfish because It’s no small feat to get good at salmon run.

I have a question about those salmonids golden badges : if I splat a boss after the time reach 0, does it count ?

@@flodthelunatic5678I think so since you get Power Eggs (the orange ones) after the wave ends from Lesser Salmonids, but I would check if you see those Power Eggs if you splat a Boss Salmonid to make sure. If you do, then it should count.

unless you have complete inhuman skill and KO every match super quickly (which isn’t really possible anyways!) yeah, anyone with that is hacking

The closest I've seen someone away from level 999 is a Japanese player which is at level 780 rn.

Some people are unnaturally good at the game and probably get a LOT of KO’s each day, you’d be surprised how easy some people level up

@@fate7418 even if you spent every waking hour playing Splatoon, you’d only have clocked around 7,500 at this point (given 8 hours a day for sleeping and generally keeping yourself alive as a human being). It’s probably technically possible, but even if you make enough money to live by streaming one game literally all day every day, there are things you have to do to make sure you don’t accidentally commit tax evasion or something. And besides, if you’re good enough to get quick KOs in 99% % of the games you play in ANY solo-queue team-based shooter, you’re probably good enough to have basically any e-sports team begging at your doorstep.

As someone who was no lifing sr exclusively for several months and doing a few 100k rotations, I'm still only at a 3rd towards it. It's absurd. You can legit get the silver in one rotation. Gold is absurd and only recently have the absolute die hard runners started getting it.

They are not more common during Splatfests, the odds are exactly the same. I've checked both seeds for mine in the past and my gold is closer to 2000 rolls away on my Splatfest seed, compared to the nornal seed which is around 1500.@@LiliumOrientalis

@@Chase247 That's not how odds/statistics work though. Just because your splatfest seed is farther away doesn't mean that the odds in general aren't better on splatfests.

Damn, that’s impressive. I’ve played nearly 1000 hours of salmon run, and I’ve only seen ONE person with it. It was the only badge on his splashtag too, indicating he was proud of it.

You will see the new suits pretty often at Eggsecutive VP rank. The probability of getting silver and gold scales increases with the Hazard Level and (if and) how quickly the King Salmonoid was splatted, i.e. the average rank of the crew of each shift, but there is also pure luck involved in how many scales in total and of each worth you get exactly (except for pre-determined minimum of total scales, which are most often all bronze). But gold scales are even in the highest ranks very rare. The most expensive single item that you can buy with these scales is a golden Salmon Run banner that costs 333 golden scales. That's why they are so rare.

Yep exactly - a maximum of 80 badges handed out every season, but perhaps as few as 20 if you have the same top 10 players in all four modes in each division. One could also say that the number of "new" badges issued could be as low as 0, if all players in the top 10 in each division already received the badge in a previous season.

The skill is called "playing Splatoon 3 at a high level" (at least for the badges for non-Main Weapons and non-Special Weapons). Learning this skill is rather challenging and those that do reach that level, would be good at many high value jobs in today's world. These badges should count as certificates for certain jobs. They would be more meaningful than most job interviews or diplomas of higher education (I am serious 😅).

Plus Big Shots are part of the more tanky Boss Salmonids. 1,200 HP with no damage modifiers and then you get rolled with the puniest DPS weapon.

​​@@Chase247 Since by "won series" you (or Nintendo) means not lost 3 times in the same series, only the outcomes of each Anarchy Series that are 5:0, 5:1, or 5:2 (i.e. the number of won vs. lost battles per series) count as a "won series" for these badges, right? Because one could otherwise assume that 4:3 is a won series since more battles were won than lost in the same series. Nintendo should have simply called them "Win Anarchy Series 250 times in total" to avoid confusion since each Anarchy Series consists of multiple Anarchy Battles.

Nah, I'd argue that something that takes thousands of hours is difficult. It's difficult for different reasons, but still difficult. You could say the same for the level 999 badge, but there's literally no one in the world who legitimately has that

Me and most other casual Salmon Run players at Eggsecutive VP find the lower Hazard Levels harder than the higher Hazard Levels because the matchmaking could not be much worse (i.e. really bad, but not nearly as bad as Anarchy Series): Below Eggesecutive VP 250 - 300, you tend to get matched with players that are simply not good enough for Eggsecutive VP 40 or above (e.g. because they don't understand Luring or simply ignore the most dangerous Boss Salmonids), therefore losing many shifts no matter how good you play individually. And above Eggsecutive VP 300 it gets much easier all of the sudden because your crewmates know how to play Salmon Run well at any Hazard Level. It only starts getting harder again at Hazard Levels above 250. But the hardest part is getting above Eggsecutive VP 300 because you simply lose every other game due to bad matchmaking. I am just glad that they changed the resets based on your badge for each map, so once you reach a certain rank in Salmon Run, you don't have to go through this again in every rotation 😊.

The bronze capsules do not count towards it, only silver and gold ones do. This is confirmed by dataminers and I also cam confirm since I've gotten the bronze one about 20 times.
