Lana Del Rey’s music video for RIDE will make you cry. The poetry in the beginning is… incredible. She has a really badass unreleased song with A$AP Rocky called RIDIN that is sooooo hot and cute. It’s such a vibeeeee. Definitely check them both out

It's so funny the reference he has about those tears are "gangsta tears". I feel young people should know a lot more about history. Gangters may have adopted those tears as their mark but it goes way before, those are the harlequin tears. In the 16th and 17th centuries minstrels and harlequins painted their face with those tears. It comes from medieval courts and was later adopted my italian theater and clowns, you know, the famous "tear of the clown" comes from the tears of the harlequin.

Lana’s voice speaks to the heart and soul and opens you up to emotions you didn’t even know you had in you. She manages to comfort me when I didn’t realize I needed it - like a warm hug to my ears when I listen to her. I don’t know how she does it.

Since youre just at the start of Lana, you should react to National Anthem, its one of her top popular ones but i think those are important to set the foundation of understanding lanas music and impact. Her debut album Born to die (2012)is still one of my top 5 albums of all time. Great body of work especially the Paradise deluxe edition combination album and guaranteed a great reaction with any of those selections. Born To Die Paradise Edition, Norman Fucking Rockwell, and Ultraviolence are in my opinion her best albums. Love ur reactions, consistency is always rewarded so respect for all the content creation🤍

I'm late but I want to still explain the teardrops. So a common misconception is that these teardrops are only related to gang culture, but that is not the case. They also have another less known meaning that has been forgotten over time but it is to represent sadness and loss. Also, it is representative of the movie this song was made for, the great gatsby. Good movie check it out

I am not sure if i am correct, but I believe the tears under the eye signify the murder of two people. This song was created for the movie and story "The Great Gatsby" where one of the characters does commit the murder of two people in some ways, I believe Lana in this song is presenting as the character who killed the two people.

I think all the music plus the video is to really match with the movie ( because the song is the original soundtrack for Great Gatsby ) and so the movie truely have this vibes because of the director style Baz Lurhman
