Before Judaism, Christianity and Islam showed up same sex relations were pretty common, though never reached the point of true relationships or marriage. And just remember how localized Judaism was because of how restrictive it and Old Testament Christianity were. There are always those who are not going to see themselves that way and some are being called out. I grew up at a time when it was normal to scoff at people who were different. It really disgusted me, just like viewing what these news media organizations do to Trans issues. They simply don’t care and they have more intent to provide politically motived talking points and gotcha’s and it’s such a huge turn off. Sadly, the viewers don’t know any better and assume that being Trans or even Autism must be fixed, cured or put policies in place. I’ve watched many, many individuals who are young and in their teens who just seem so much happier with themselves after their transition. They are aware of the work that’s necessary to fulfill their goals of becoming their true self. Is there cause to be concern? Of course. Both the parent and child must be on this journey. Are there individuals whom think it’s a huge mistake after? Yes. There is no guarantee nor is it known how that individual will see themselves until after its done, despite the many levels of caution and evaluations. I just wish the media didn’t make it such a fear mongering issue like they’ve done for years. That needs to stop.
