Hello Lauren - I appreciate your thought- and respectful adressing of the Dior bags production situation in Italy ( aka the scandal ) and share your sentiments in pulling back in a sort of time out/waiting period. The business supervision of Dior's production activities in Italy which supposedly has been issued by the Italian administration is a hefty reaction and in my opinion showcases the severeness of the situation. Do I belive Dior is the only luxury brand involved in this kind of business practices - a definite NO. The question all of us ( content creators and consumers ) should ask ourselves is "Would you work in conditions like shown in the video of the production site - how would you feel being treated like modern slaves?" The money a luxury brand like DIOR is asking for their goods should be more than enough to ensure an ethical production. The funny thing is I got interested in handbags again after watching one of your newest videos and found out about DIOR only a few days later. Personally I plan to buy a functional crossbody by Justine Leconte's ELIXIR Line. In my hometown a well known to me designer openend a small boutique earlier this year with her own design line of leather goods, gorgeous fabrics and more. She manufactures in a very tight and respectful relationship with her craftsmen in Morocco, Armenia.... and sells her bags between 200 and 700 EUROS. I will be saving up for one of her designs as well. I already have my eyes on a spectacular leather in a stunning pale colour where I have seen a prototype bag been made off. But still I don't feel like business as usual and have been known to stick to my unpopular decisions and opinions.
