Definitely would love to see the ones you fell out of love with and are giving away. Maybe a best leaf of genesis, or a full anthurium/philodendron collection video going through every type of plant in that one genesis. Least favorite in collection. How you organize your plant materials

I always love plant chores and repots because it helps to know I'm not alone in spending a few hours taking care of plants :). Would love to know more about your experiences with anthurium seeds, seedlings, etc.

Ooo I’d be down for a DIY Pon video. Always curious if there’s a specific ratio that’s meant to be used or something. Since they claim their mix has the ‘perfect’ ratio of air to water, lol. I’ve read 1-1-1 from Gardening in Canada’s blog but have no clue really

You could use an old strap to cut the length and know where the slits go to without having to measure it out on the pole again. Just a possible time/effort saver 😊. Maybe even save one as a template for all future straps and just cut a bunch all at once

plants release hormones into water when they are rooting, we are not doing them any service by replacing the water often. Maybe your monstera needed A LOT of it to root :) Sometimes people even add pothos cuttings to difficult plant as pothos grows roots so quickly and releases a ton of the hormone.

@@brooklin_bernek I don’t love using pure lechuza pon either, but if I add equal parts coarse perlite and classic orchiata the mix is just 😙👌🏻 for me I do want to mix my own pon though so I can control the coarseness and it’ll be much cheaper too!

Ideally I’d water it when the reservoir is completely gone but there’s still some moisture left, and I would do this for all my aroids. For Hoyas I can let it completely dry out but I prefer not to let it get thirsty to the point of the leaves getting soft.

Have you ever had tiny clear worms in your vessels? I have 1 alocasia in a perlite jar that has tiny white/clear worms if I look really really hard, it’s literally so gross to think about but my plant is thriving and I was curious if anyone’s had similar experiences :(
