I feel the same way! For sponsored content, I also just want it to be QUITE explicit that it is sponsored or I immediately get a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to that creator. I hate it when they do the whole spiel and then at the very end, very quickly, mention it is sponsored. I think Jessica Braun and Fern do a great job when it comes to incorporating sponsorships into their videos.

Also, for the whole sponsorship idea, all I have to say is please please do your research with the companies you are partnering with. Not that I don't have faith that you will, but I've seen so many youtubers promote products and services from companies that are dubious if not outright scammy. First it was Raycon earbuds (customers reported that the products were actually poor quality), Established Titles (the plot you own is not legally recognized), and then Betterhelp (poor services, scamming by charging prices higher than expected, and unethical practices involving their process of getting therapists iirc). What's worse is that huge KZfaqrs worked with these companies, so they introduced their audience to these scammers. Although that's more prevalent in the general youtube sphere than the houseplant youtube sphere, remember that houseplants are also an industry and there's a markup with products like grow lights and other products when there are cheaper alternatives available. I mean there's definitely no issue to partnering with grow light companies but I guess I just added it in because the question of whether grow lights actually have a significant improvement over normal LED lights is something plant carers have always been wondering about because they're trying to avoid the industry prices when you can just get a cheap LED. That can also be a video idea btw. Excuse the lengthy semi-rant

Some creators do perks, sometimes early access, sometimes extra polls or Discord server etc. but not all, some people do nothing extra for members and that's also completely fine. I think as long as is completely voluntary you don't need to worry 💚
