Both of these ebikes showed up at my front door, so I thought I'd do a little comparison of the Tomofree FG20 and the Tomofree YYG BR100. One ebike is significantly cheaper than the other, but one has a bit more style and suspension. Which is the better ebike to buy? Are either of these ebikes even worth considering?

I'll never understand why so many of the big-battery bikes don't take pains to put all that weight lower down on the frame. I know they're aping the visual characteristics of motorcycles, but they seem to forget that motorcycles have a much lower CG than the visual impression would let on -- and it's helpful for riding a vehicle that is heavy when the CG is lower.

I upgared the YYG to a 2200 watt dual motor dual battery bike on my channel. Feels completely different! Got it up to 38mph now.

You should make a list of your favorite ebike per category, like budget fat tire, budget road bike (like discover etc), cargo etc. I bought the nomad from velotric and I love it but I kinda already want something faster

I think this moped style is a non-starter for tall riders. Adjustable seats are a must.

Its the best 26 inch tire full suspension bike for now. Only way to make it better is bigger battery or lighter somehow.

Any chance you have a 52v battery standard battery you could slot into the FG20 and compare the performance? Do you think it could handle the 52v without issues? I lot of people say you can run a 52v battery in most 48v controllers without issues. I did just order an FG20 using your code.

I like the FG20. it looks like it has a more comfortable seat than bikes alot more expensive. I have no ass so a good seat is a must lol

Hey to wheelie the moped bikes u need to start off going 8-10 miles an hour then pull the throttle and push down pull back and the feather throttle and break, sur ronster has a great video on how to do all bikes including an emoped.

I'm seriously considering the FG20, but want to be sure i receive the same bike you tested, they only claim 25kmph on the site and all the reviews of the same all black model from last year with the same specs claim theirs to top out much earlier (at like 25mph) with much less torque than you had, can you confirm if they upgraded this years model for the ones they have for sale? I'm willing to pull the trigger on one but need to be certain it has the power I require for my trips across town, I'd be a sad sad panda if i sunk this much money into it based on the awesome bike i saw your review and turns out they sent you a better battery or setup than they actually have for sale to the general public 😅

Im about to order the Fg-20, I can't get a straight answer whether it's an 18 or a 20 amp battery! And it looks like some of the rims have those color cutouts on them, which I don't care I would at least like to know what amperage battery I'm getting, It's a good-looking fun little bike

On motorcycle or dirtbike the throttle is always right and clutch is always left leaving front brake to the right and they all should be the same on ebike I hate seeing left throttle ect.... Some semi automatic honda atc or atvs have the rear brake still foot pedal on right or hand lever on left. but rear brake hand lever on left because no hand clutch. But throttle is always right and front brake also right.

The thing is with so many of these ebikes is that they do not have an adjustable seat that is important for moving the legs in full extension. Doesn't anyone ride road bikes or mtb and understand the importance of saddles and saddle height? The importance of human power with these bikes? Spinning anyone? Hello? Just twisting the throttle is saying "lazy people". Rad bikes have figured it out, with their adjustable seats with the option to install a long, lower seat for cruising. I love spinning and don't like having my knees touching my chin. 😹

These are really electric mopeds, not e-bikes. The pedals are for show only. These are basically pieces of garbage not meant to last. I really wish this reviewer would get some decent legal e-bikes to review, because he is excellent.

I believe they are the same, I ordered a Br100 about 6 months ago and they sent me a smart travel. They said they added front turn signals( the Br100 didnt have them at that time) and changed the name on the bike though i prefer the original Br100 decals

The bike is cool, but the customer service sucks ass. So if you need a replacement of your battery let’s say since it was broken while shipping you might never get it. Happened to me and now returning the bike, cause I might just buy a new one and be able to ride it and not just sit in my garage collecting dust while waiting on customer service! Btw love your reviews dude!

If you want to get that 32mph bike in the air pedal faward with your lead foot as your lead foot gets to 10 past 3 or 10 to 3 push your foot down the pull the bike up at the same time the bike should just pop up in the air best if your standing then you can sit down its kind of hard to explain 😉and keep your arms at full length and lean back why am I telling you you can already wheelie 😅

My br100 didnt come with turn signals or headlight grill. Its whatever i got it last year anyways. The bike sucks, its a bike for extreme modders, only if they like the design. Personally if i tried it in person i wouldnt have bought it

Pretty much everyone does it anyway. Cops can't be bothered with e-bikes and it's really not a big issue. Pretty much everyone I know here in LA has higher spec motors.

E-Bike riders are ignored by the police 99.9% of the time and that's not about to change. Ride sensibly and you'll be okay. I don't know a soul who's been pulled over on their e-bike! LOL! Now in my Hellcat....that's another story.

If that bike is doing 28+ on the throttle, then you have illegally modified the speed safety protocols on the bike. Also in California it’s illegal to operate a motor vehicle while using your phone.

These moped style fake e-bikes are a disservice to the ebike community. No UL certification, specs are all over the place and support is non existent. You should honestly start reviewing some of the more established brands like Gazelle, Cube, R&M etc.
