I had tyres like those , they were called Tioga City slickers 1990's era , I put them on Raleigh M-trax 2000, it had a beautiful frame colour

Yea, I know what you mean. I remember the city slickers. They were awesome tyres! Want to keep the bike looking slight retro but with a modern commuting twist. Hopefully, I pull it off.

Also, lol, that squealing on the truing stand claw tips . . . A Presta valve cap fits very nicely on the prongs, giving a way more tolerable noise.

I'll try that! Thanks for the tip 👍 I used to have a park tool stand that had the plastic caps, but I hated it. It's one of the old ones, so I guess the newer versions are better but not worth the cost.

@@BikeShedBoy i just have cheap truing stand i got from Germany it was only 35 quid its served me really well only prob with it is that its literally 2 bolts sticking into your rim so i put Shrader dustcaps on end but you don't need spend fortune on truing stand iv rebuilt hundreds of wheels on it higher quality trueing stand prob be faster but i get my wheels to withing 0.5 mm of being perfect so that's good enough i just put stand on coffee table and take my time put a vid on you tube and take frequent breaks iv found that's best way

@ianwilde1800 100% agree on this. On enything high end j will take my time so its perfect. Also, stress checking and dishing and making sure the tension is perfect. Hand built wheels are always better than machines built if done right. 👍

@@BikeShedBoy i have tension meter for spokes its exact same as park tools one prob made in same factory but was 13 quid but looks identical and iv tested it against the park tools on both come out with same readings only diff is park tools one blue anodized one iv got red anodized that's how i start when building a fresh wheel get all tensions then start trruing

That is epic. I have a few bikes in my collection for that very reason, and so I'll never sell them out of respect for that person. On the note of a camera, j had always thought the same and found a smartphone that works just fine for now, and I also do all the editing on ig myself with no previous skills 👍

Hi mate, it is a 6.5 litre it fits in all the parts in the video. I had a bigger one 10 litre but sold it as it was too big. Had a 3 litre one but too small for cranks. Hope that helps mate 👍

lol first thing i do with my own bikes is launch reflectors into orbit customers bikes i leave them even though i hate the reflectors and dork disks they build pretty looking bikes then put ugly reflectors and dork disks on them
