Perfect! I’m testing out being a digital nomad for 2 months in Phuket I just decided in Patong because it has cheapest accommodation and a lot going on within walking distance. My budget is mega tight - £4 a day - and I booked a hotel room and was just going to bring a hot pot to cook incase I need to save money. You have reassured me that I can eat out atleast one of my meals per day if I needed to. I am doing a simple breakfast - I don’t need much but having a soup in the evening would be ideal. Or grabbing a lunch. So this video is fab! Thanks 🙏🏽

Try the Chalong gypsy seafood market, you can buy fresh seafood and take it to the restaurants on the street opposite the stalls and they will cook what you bought.

Such a good recommendation. On our anniversary video we did this in Ra Wai. Sooooo good, we got scallops and prawns. Definitely pricey compared to what we normally spend eating in a day.

I recommend you to eat Thai food Thai food uses a method of eating, which is to put food on top of rice. If you scoop rice and put it on top of your food. The rice grains will fall into the food making it look unappetizing. You will be able to notice when you go to a restaurant to eat. A side dish that comes in a large plate, when eating, many people will have a middle spoon for serving food separately. I'm Thai and I just want to introduce you. Not intended to express a bad opinion.

It was absolutely amazing, I really enjoyed that fried rice. They are so sweet, can't wait to run into them again. We left Phuket for Ao Nang a bit ago.

When eating something like curry, you are supposed to use your fork and spoon at the same time. Use the fork to push the food onto your spoon, so you dont have to use your fingers

i was in phuket for 2 months. i know each of those vendors. they knew my regular choices too. Banzaan has always been my fav ever since i saw it in Dec 2017. trust me, now its just 1% of what it was before covid. its a crowd puller in its prime.

You bet I will. First time in Thailand and traveling solo. If I could ask, what is the best/most inexpensive way to travel the island? I’m doing the sandbox for seven days there then flying to different cities but I want to take in as much of the island as possible. See some elephants, eat of course, and go to as many temples as possible. Thanks!

@@chrisgholloway1 the most inexpensive way would be by scooter. We just put out a video about our realistic budget recently, which goes over the must have costs. If your getting tuk tuks or taxis all the time it can really add up. Especially in Phuket, they have one of the highest taxi booking fee's. Everything else is as expensive as you make it 😁. You can almost always find cheap eats and a place to live.

@@chrisgholloway1 it's best to get one through your hotel if you can. If not look up a place with good reviews. Make sure to take pictures of the whole bike when you first get it before riding off. It is a little crazy on the roads, definitely not like at home for us. You just got to keep your eyes peeled and make sure you feel comfortable scooting. If not the extra cash on taxis may be worth it
