I have a few Honda Izy lawn mowers and I wanted to get one Up and running. I came across an issue with the engine so I had to change my plans. I ended up with another cheap Honda Izy that will be a good doner for the damaged engine. I still will refurbish them all though.

Hit that crank with the eagle eye and hammer! That’s the American Way 🤣 you have nothing to lose! Done many mowers that way with no issues! They do make a tool for those which is pricey. If I got more cranks to do I would buy it.

I had a Mountfield some years ago with a Briggs and Stratton engine and I bent the crankshaft. A new one from a garden equipment place was surprisingly inexpensive.

Hi Martin- great video & very interesting! Goes to show what can be done!! Ive got an old 2001 izy with a holed rusty deck,but with low hours,had a few running issues but now ok due to a carb clean- Would you say a new steel deck is worth it for this mower?? Ive had it from new & like to keep my tools going!any advise would be great!many thanks Mark
