Hi guys hope you’re doing well. In this video I’m showing you my experience staying in Grand Sunset Princess All Suites and Spa Resort, for their all inclusive package deal. This resort located in Riviera Maya, Cancun, pretty close to Playa Del Carmen. In the second video I’ll take you out of the resort to explore more of the local busy Downtown area (which I love) and for our 1 day excursion is the Xcaret Theme Park, please stay tune.
We went with Sunwing Vacation Deals and paid about $1500 CAD for all, this package includes: round trip direct flight, shuttle bus ground transportation, hotel, food and beverage. For more details please watch the video in full.

This video specifically giving you ideas how the resort looks like, including their beautiful beach, things that’s included, what to expect in terms of the activities and inclusiveness. One thing I missed mentioning about the $70 MXN shuttle which brings you to the Downtown Playa Del Carmen / Fifth Avenue. The shuttle bus operates 4-5 times a day and make sure to ask the concierge for the exact schedule and meeting point. They accept pesos or dollars (per rate). Also I forgot to record about the sports bar with good snacks and billiards which open 24 hours a day!
Please check this link below which leads you to their Web App. This is a special access for all guests to reserve a la carte dinners, including check the availability of the restaurants and which activities are available/open for the day. Thank you so much for the video, very informative! Also booked the flight package with Sunwing and gonna stay spend the vacation in early may. Just wondering if you paid the extra 100cad per person for purchasing shuttle on Sunwing?

Thank you Emily! I went on October 2022 and it was all included in the package, you shouldnt pay additional fee, but again read the details before booking. If you’re not sure, please contact Sunwing maybe they have different policy now. Don’t forget to bring your own tooth brush and toothpaste, and hope you’ll enjoy the amazing sun there!

Most informative video on the resort on KZfaq! I'm hoping to book this in June from the UK woth my partner (we are 23). A few questions of thats okay? What were the ate of guests like, many young adults? And are the drinks premium drinks (particularly do they have Corona)? Also did you happen to see how much extra the platinum upgrade is and what it included? Ive seem so many complain about the food and service at this resort but it seemed nitpicky and they had unrealistic expectations, i was wonderinf if you could comment on this. Thank you so much Tyler! When we were there it was during the low season in October so most of them are adults to seniors. I’m not sure how it looks like during summer or holiday season. They do have corona and other cocktails, you can always request to the bartender. We didn’t check for the platinum upgrades since it’s above our budget and besides I don’t think it’s worth it, you better allocate it towards the excursions. One of the platinum guest was from the same airlines as us and they said the platinum is basically only the rooms and some pools. So all activities, shows are still hold in the main regular resort. I mean you get what you paid for, when we were there we didn’t really expect much because we paid about $1200USD in total considering it’s really cheap and all inclusive, we just want a getaway from the cold Canadian fall. I’m a picky eater but all I can say is the food is good enough and lots of options, they even provide unique tropical fruits you can’t find in cold weather countries. As I know, you can email them to request for a specific dietary, also bring your medication/ allergy pills in case you have one. Make sure to do reservations for dinner at the ala carte restaurant because we had a very good experience there and it booked up really fast. Hope this helps and you’ll enjoy your stay there!

Hi, a la carte restaurant is included with the package. mind you that there's a limit of 1 restaurant per day for dinner time only. they got booked pretty fast and you can book 2 days ahead of time. reservation can be done on their guest website or at the concierge.

From and to the airport is using the shuttle bus from Sunwing, this should be included with the package but double check when booking. For shuttle bus (big taxi) to downtown PDC 5th avenue, we paid 70 pesos / approx. $5 to the resort and they have their own schedule.

How long fare between hotel and the beach?

The resort sort of has their own private beach, it’s right within walking distance from your room, but you might need to take the shuttle golf car if you’re from the other side of the resort. I’m not sure about other beaches because we only went to the one inside the resort and playa del Carmen. To go to downtown PDC you have to pay about $5, the resorts staffs will deal with the taxi etc, but they have their own schedule.

Was the disco/night club open every night? Looking to book this hotel in June.

They got their own club called Areito nearby the lobby area. It‘s perfect for night owls, closes pretty late and as I remembered it opens every day. If you’re looking for 24/7 bar they got the sports bar that serves different selections of food compared to the buffet. Silent disco is another unique activity they provide 2 options of playlist to enjoy, only happens twice a week on certain nights and it gets busy pretty quick. You can see more details of the schedule on their web app once you arrived and the room is assigned to you. Hope this helps 🙂

Opens every night 10-1030 just returned very loud fills up fast ..make sure you have shoes sandles on .. no glass allowed

How does the Towel/card situation works please.

It’s like a regular hotel where you can hang the sign outside your door in case you need them to tidy up the room (this includes changing towels), you can also call the front desk to ask for extras. There are beach/ pool towels available at the booths nearby that you can borrow (the towel card used as a ‘deposit’). As I remembered they gave 2 hotel room cards and 2 towel cards for 2 guests. Make sure to return and get your towel cards back to use for the next day, also they will ask for all cards when you check out.

@@eastgirlinwest Does this mean that a Family of 4 would be allowed to use only 4 towels per day? ( I meant at the Beach/ Pool areas)

@@SilviaHoard You can change your dirty towels with the clean ones as much as you want, just make sure to return and get your towel cards back by the end of the day (before the kiosks closed, not sure for the time - but usually when it turned dark). It was only the 2 of us so they gave out 2, I’m not sure if it’s based on the room capacity or guests (adults or kids). You can always ask them via email for more details or in person later, they’re not very strict with their policy so no need to worry!

@@eastgirlinwestHow much was the round trip transportation from Airport to Resort and back and was it hard to find lounge chairs available by the pool and beach , do people reserve way early in the morning? I' d like to relax by the Beach and pool. Thanks in advance.
