I have been eyeballing this laptop since it has been hitting $1000 CAD on Amazon lately. I wasn't sure if the ram was upgradable since I feel 16GB just isn't really comfortable anymore, just running Windows and Chrome and you have like 4 gigs left. After watching this video I am sold on this laptop, Thanks for the awesome review!

bought it today on sale for 500 bucks. This will be my go to media to watch anime. My eyes can't seem to binge on my big screen after work and I just end up browsing all day on my laptop. Got some iem's for the sound. Laptop will get here Friday. Thanks for the review, the display color accuracy is what sold me.

@@TechGuyBeau Laptop is pretty meh tbh. I'm back on my MacBook Pro for everyday use. Keyboard, sound, UI, Cooling, Updates, and just overall user experience is way better. Asus laptop gets hot for no reason, like I barely use it and the fan starts spinning and the bottom part gets hot. I am using it exclusively to watch my shows, but as soon as apple has oled in their line up I'm switching. Build quality also feels really inferior..

I'd like to thank you for this review. I was wondering about getting practically the same laptop, model M3402R. Your video was only one I found. Thank you for this nice and thorough review! It's the first review I found on the ryzen model. Quick question: how's been the battery so far? The estimate from Windows in the video seems to be based on 1 cycle. Has it been similar since then? E.g. Is 8hrs web browsing possible with 120hz and medium brightness? I'm on the fence for buying it

I'm waiting for mine to arrive but you can adjust the power draw of the system in the MyAsus app to get much better battery life, as well as doing other things like turn down the refresh rate, so I expect it to only last slightly less long as 6800U equipped laptops when optimized. Rembrandt CPUs are very efficient at low power draw.

I doubt you’ll find a laptop with a 120hz OLED screen and this processor for this price. If you need ULTRA portability, you might want to get a slimmer laptop. But if you want a well balanced machine this one is superb.

Bought one of these three weeks ago, and while watching you tube vids every night for several hours, I am having dropout problems with my blue tooth headphones. I know it is the laptop, as my other HP laptop that I use during the day, does not have any such problems. Apart from that, this is a fantastic computer. Unfortunately, if you need to use it on battery only, this is not for you as 2 hours is around all you will get on a full charge.

I was told the S5402Z was limited to only 1TB. Perhaps, this is not accurate information. Also, I see they also support 32Gb stick with the onboard 8Gig, for a total of 40. Hmmm. Then, the machine would have 16Gig Dual, and 25 single. I think this is a major performance hit and might be better with having 16Gb of dual to increased performance, especially for the Intel graphics.
@TechGuyBeau

This one is amd, but yes you should be able to do 40gb on intel as well. A lot of people are probably fine with 16, however larger productivity use might benefit from 24

It seems Asus is literally the only company to make 120Hz OLED laptops that aren't absolutely insanely priced. Supposedly all the TV OLEDs suffer from something called sample-and-hold. Where there is basically built-in lag that will not allow for completely smooth motion. I'm very curious to try these laptops out and see if I can get completely smooth stutter-free motion.
@RandomUser-tj3mg
@RandomUser-tj3mg Жыл бұрын
Sample is hold is present on all lcd and oled panels. It will be present on any display that has pixels. Black frame insertion can be used to reduce motion blur. You need to hunt down a good crt or plasma for best motion clarity
