Love the grow systems you come up with... And obviously they work well... You have huge harvest and massive plants. Great job, great videos... Can't wait till the next one.

Seems like each iteration of this veg tent system is getting simpler and easier.... I wish I would have started with this one!

I never thought about the condensation on the lines. I bet that boosts humidity a bit. I feel like your new design's gonna kick azz😎👊

Yeah,, I didn't think about the condensation either until my tent floor was a puddle last veg... using the chiller causes that for sure,, and I like to keep my veg tent pretty jungley... this system should do just as well as the last 2,,, my subsequent builds are always simpler and just as or more effective.

@@chibamann6507 veg reservoir I used was around a 20 gallon tote,, usually only around 10 gallons full... I used a 1/10hp chiller on that one

Great idea dude…. Only suggestion I could make is the water flow over the hydroton. Maybe try making a ring so the water disperses over more of the pebbles/roots rather then in a smaller area

I go out of my way to keep the tops of the hydroton dry.... seems to mitigate some problems

@@thewell-roundednovice8852 make a ring and place it an inch under the hydroton, this way the top stays dry and the bottom gets fully saturated.

@@mmenil1 I messed with a ring in the past... ive run a few grows like this with a single emitter and they all did very well,,,, the water kind of spreads out and disburses as it goes down through the hydroton

Why not just cut the bottom out of the bucket and use the bucket lid size pots in the original top of the bucket why make the bottom the top??? Is there something I am missing here? Seems over complicated is all I mean it looks cool but is there some functionality reason to buy such an expensive hole sawing bit I don’t have hundreds of dollars to spend on a hole saw of that diameter what is the function other than looking cool AF
@thewell-roundednovice8852
@thewell-roundednovice8852 2 жыл бұрын
I want the bottom open,,,, I will be able to prune the roots before I move them to the main system, also, I have to cut holes for my netpots to fit right anyway... its actually much simpler than cutting holes in both ends
@enragedwookie7863
@enragedwookie7863 2 жыл бұрын
@@thewell-roundednovice8852 so cut the bottom out of the bucket and use bucket sized net pots just don’t see the reason for the plants to rest on the bottom side of the 5 gallon buckets is where I draw the blank just cut the bottoms out of the 5 gallon buckets and you can still prune roots but it does look cool AF the way you have it. All I am saying is that they make net pots that fit the open end (( top )) of a five gallon bucket why not use those and cut the bottom out of the bucket since you seem so intent on doing so anyway you can use a utility knife to cut the bottom out of buckets have done some for a aeroponic setup decades ago is why this intrigues me

@@enragedwookie7863 I have to cut the proper hole for the size of my netpots that are compatible with my other systems... but even if I didn't, I've never liked the bucket-fitting netpots,,, they've always given me trouble.... and also, for me since I have the 8" holesaw, cutting the hole in the bottom is way easier than cutting the bottom out
