These guys are great in concert. The funny looking guy has one of the greatest rock guitar collection s in the world. He switches guitars several times in concert so the audience can see them.

The track is from their Live From Budokan album. The Budokan is a large music and sports venue in Tokyo (think of it like the Japanese Madison Square Gardens). You can hear the Japanese fans shouting "Cryin! Cryin! Cryin!" during the chorus.

@@tommarks3726 I think she already thinks I'm a creep for suggesting, BLONDIE: "One Way Or Another." It "creeped" her out for being "stalkerish." I thought she would like Debbie Harry's attitude and like dancing to it. It made me feel like I was sending her a message, like I was stalking her. Ha!

The greatest part of this groups history is that they were a flop in America so they went overseas where they had a huge following. They performed at Budokai. Bootleg copies of this song made it back to the USA and they blew up. The rest is history!

they weren't a flop, not even close. They were a new band, paying their dues, with three ncredible albums under their belt. Their label told them that they were getting some interest in Japan and were sent there to do a tour. When they landed in Japan, they flew in coach by the way, the band saw thousands and thousands of people waiting for someone at the airport. The lead singer, Robin Zander, started to look around the plane, trying to spot what famous person was on there with them. As soon as the plane stopped, they soon realized that the mass of people were there for them. As soon as thr band got off the plane, they were whisked away, driven to numerous places to change vehicles, to fool their fans, who had given chase. It was reminiscent of Beatlemania. Cheap Trick ended up putting out a live album, that was just supposed to be for their Japanese fans. A few radio stations in the US, from major markets in Boston and NYC, started to play this song, which was only avaliable as an import in the US. The song caught fire, their label put Cheap Trick Live at Budokan out in the US and the band blew up. After a few years they were on the cusp of headlining stadiums. The Beatles producer George Martin had produced their release All Shook Up, they had worked with John Lennon and if Lennon would not of been murdered, he was going to use them as his backing band for touring. All that momentum stopped when they sued their label with regards to them getting ripped off for royalties. Their label counter sued them. A record company has massive amounts of money. If you decide to sue them, you better be able to match their resources, like say an army of attornies, whose one goal is to squash you like a bug. The band, even though they were right, were overwhelmed and lost, badly. Once that happened, their career took a dive that they never fully recovered from.

Not a bad song and they were goofy and fun BUT the one time I saw them they were blown away by UFO and the fully motivated Michael Schenker on lead guitar, no way they should have had them as the opener. Try UFO someday, start with the ballad Love to Love, you will be amazed, studio or live off Strangers in the Night, it is a killer song. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎹🎤🎶
