We pick two RC (remote controlled) cars. The TRAXXAS XMAXX and the HPI MAVERICK QUANTUM + FLUX . One is a cheap budget entry low level basher. The other is one of the best bashing RC trucks you can buy! The TRAXXAS XMAXX.
We put them head to head through a BMX track, Skate park bash and a field speed run. We absolutely send them.
Let's see who survives!

The smaller Rc’s are loads of fun and faster and more of a hand full but I believe xmaxx is the ultimate rc for wow factor and bash ability

Yeah, I agree! There's just something about a larger rc jumping, back flipping in comparison to the small stuff. Nevertheless you can have the same amount of fun with the smaller cheaper stuff.

I was against traxxas and all the hype. Mainly due to the price tag for a plastic car. But after buying one, I get it. Cheaper parts and durable due to flex.

The MAVERICK could probably do with a heatsink with double fan set up , when using maximum voltage batteries . It definitely can't keep running without cutting out with heat issues , unlike my QUANTUM R FLUX 4S on ROAD cars , which as you say is down to forgetting to change back to the standard pinion 🤔 🤣🤣🤣

Have a look on Google for a bike track / pump track or a skate park in your area. There should be something local, hopefully!

I live in a small seaside town in scotland so there's no skateparks or bike tracks within 50 miles. We've been asking the council for years but all they care about is pensioner tourists.

I think everyone would, to be honest! 😁 However, we wanted to demonstrate that you can have as much fun with a cheaper RC without the initial outlay of an expensive car. As everyone has different budgets, i guess!

There's absolutely no chance in hell I'd give TRAXXAS a £1000 - £1500 for their RC'S or XMAX . I'd rather have a 5th scale MCD RACING for that kind of money . But unfortunately For my surroundings , a 5th scale is really too big for my street road 🤣🤣🤣 .

The MAVERICK though wasn't designed as a high jumping basher RC , it's really designed just as an on road / off road only RC . I wouldn't dare jump / bash those sort of heights , with the MAVERICK 🤣🤣🤣 .

You're right! But then that theory is applied to all rc's. No rc's are designed to take silly jumps. However, most of us do it, as it's part of the fun. But everyone is different! The video demonstrates that you don't have to speed £1000.00 to have such fun. You can do the same with a much cheaper car and still have the same enjoyment. As everyone's pockets are different!.

Over 90% of all my RC'S are ON ROAD , on road racers , touring cars , rally cars . Only my two HoBao hyper VS2-E racing buggies are track cars , along with my HoBao hyper VT-E cars , and the only real off road car , is my CORALLY SPARK XB6 6S 🤣🤣🤣 . i still won't jump any of my 14th scale LC RACING EMB RC'S either 🤣🤣🤣

The speed controller in the quantum XT looks to be the same hobbywing max10 rebadge as the one seen in the quantum R street car, which is listed as 4s capable. If the electronics from both cars are the exact same, then I dont see why MVK doesnt market this as a 4s capable truck. Maybe it has to do with current draw compared to onroad/offroad running? What's even more strange is the Quantum2 MT, almost the same truck, has a different ESC which is known to be only 3s capable. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this or maybe even try 4s.

Interesting 🤔 I have a mavrick quantum Rx Flux that's 4s. I should check both esc's and report back! I've only run this one on a 3s.

It actually does 55 mph on a good 3s1000 mah lipo..fastest car i have..its so small,but with $8 upgrade oil shocks it handles amazing..i just run mine on 2s.. just google scy truggy..

My 14th scale LC RACING EMB-TGH TRUGGY'S akso does 50+ mph on 3S . It weighs 1.1 kg with just the LC RACING standard 2S included lipo pack , with it's alloy chassis and shock towers and shocks 🤣🤣🤣

lol I had the maverick quantum I bashed it and everytime I took it out the diffs shred themselves no matter what I did with mesh or anything it would kill one each outing there terrible not even worth the £200+

I've never had an issue with the diffs and I say I have given it some punishment. Only issue I have had before this video was the shell split in half on a cold day bashing. Its a shame you had a bad experience with this, as its been a fantastic car for me.

@@thercstore. Yh some are lucky my mate had exactly same issues i did and we bashed them hard rolled down big hills lol and of a 90 ft cliff edge lol but Yh there fun but fixing everytime got annoying so went and got outcast 4s xmaxx n few others lol no problems yet

@@RAY-1984-rc 90ft cliff edge that's insane! With out a doubt you would expect the xmaxx and outcast to be tougher, The maverick is a lower level model in comparison. Nevertheless you can still have fun with it I guess! We did. Everyone's budgets and expectation's are different but this keeps things interesting.

@@thercstore. oh Yh definitely is a lower model it’s ok for kids wanting a bit of fun but for an adult and true bash it’s not really worth it
