Curious to know what you think about the removal of the accent piece? Which is probably the most significant difference between the M1W and the new M1 V3. Do you prefer the accent piece or the minimalist look?
@lornelorne572717 күн бұрын
Looks really plain and boring without the accent.

What do you use the knob on the keyboard for? I've seen it on other keyboard but don't know what it's used for
@Late_Night_Unboxing22 күн бұрын
By default, it toggles between RGB brightness and volume control.

I've got this keyboard for almost a month now. I came from Corsair K70 Lux - Cherry MX Red and was bought around 2017. I can definitely say that the sound is very satisfying compared to what I used for the last 7 years or so. The stock is already great but I have been thinking to use the included Tape for the Tape Mod and Teflon Pads for the Force Break Mod, should I do it?
@Late_Night_Unboxing5 сағат бұрын
Sure, you can give it a try. It's easily reversible if you don't like it. The force break mod won't make a huge difference, but the tape mod will have a much more prominent effect. Personally I think the included "tape" sheet is not that convenient as you'd need to cut out the holes for the battery yourself. I prefer masking tape. You can check out my M7 mod video if you're interested.

Lol when I look at the shop they still have the purple stabilizers. The only one I found with black stabs was the one on the Monsgeek US store. Everything in either Akko DE, EU or Monsgeek EU still has the purple ones despite it being literally the same model. Monsgeek M1 V3 QMK, VIA or M1W V3. Despite that making pretty much zero sense in the first place what would even be the differences? Also the spec sheet where you can look up the differences between the newer and older models obv only talks about the international version.

They have a comparison of all the M1 variants on their FAQ page.

I for one am sorry to see that Monsgeek did away with the side accents, that was one feature that made the past boards stand out a bit. I´m glad to see that the PCB doesn´t have flex cuts. I like to go foam-less in my alu boards for a more clacky sound profile.
@Late_Night_Unboxing24 күн бұрын
Curious to see if they will be making the "v3 change" to other boards as well in the future.
@TheBigGiant_SpaceChiken24 күн бұрын
@@Late_Night_Unboxing Do you mean the removal of the side accents? I would hate to see that happen, but they probably will to keep things consistent. Monsgeek had said that they were going to make the side accents available in other colors. Too bad they went back on their word and decided just to remove them. I think that now, it looks kinda boring to be honest.
@Late_Night_Unboxing19 күн бұрын
@@TheBigGiant_SpaceChiken I agree that they probably will remove the side accents for other keyboards. Side accents with other colors would be really cool though. Too bad it never happened.

well I got this for like 2 weeks ago and I wet the whole board yesterday (hangover) and after a day I just assembled my whole m1wv3 and works still fine, do be careful tho there are excess lube on the pcb which can be taken off easily with alcohol. I love my board already since it sounds pretty clacky with the Gateron Milky Red Pros I got.
@Late_Night_Unboxing21 күн бұрын
Glad it turned out fine! There was a bit of excess lube on mine as well which was probably from the stabs.

@@Late_Night_Unboxing oh yea I'd like to tell you the difference of mine vs yours, mine came with the purple stabs and did not include a coiled cable and a screw in stabs set which was a bummer coz I wanna try using it

Would you say the switch to spray coating is a dealbreaker? Considering getting an M1
@Late_Night_Unboxing25 күн бұрын
For me, I’m fine with the spray coating. But in theory, anodizing should be a more durable finish if the keyboard gets banged around a lot. Personally I much prefer the minimalistic look on the v3 compared to the m1 with side accents.

well the aluminum is die casted compared to the older versions which are cnc

@@thetrashman5258 According to Monsgeek, the V3s are CNC'd not cast. Just spray coated instead of andodized.

Hey bro i just got this keeb, everything is good, but when i am on wire mode there is i believe a charging indicator with big red light at the spacebar is there like a way to disable that? Please
@Late_Night_Unboxing19 күн бұрын
Hi. The charging indicator works independently to the RGBs and cannot be turned off. However, if you only plan to use it wired, you can unplug the battery and the charging light won't light up even when you're using it wired.
@Late_Night_Unboxing19 күн бұрын
Or maybe you can cover the LED and put a piece of electrical tape on the PCB.
