I also got a leaf suit years ago and I agree totally. Wear whatever base layer you want and put this on. Good to go. I use it until it's time for insulated bibs

When I started wearing a leafy suit I was shocked. I have always considered myself fairly stealthy and quiet but after wearing a leafy suit it was like the woods exploded with life. After I get settled down it is like I disappear. The squirrels, birds etc. forget I'm there. I have had many encounters of less than a few feet before they even know I'm there.

I have an ASAT Camo leafy suit. I've had squirrels walk between my legs and not see me. They work great, and with all the rocks in New England, and the fact I hunt from the ground, the ASAT pattern was perfect.

I have about $430 worth of Nomad gear, brand new in a box, and $380 worth of Sitka gear, also new in a box, sitting in my room right now. I can't decide on which brand and pattern to go with... then everything just clicks while watching this video. Buy two of these leafy suits, wear the super warm clothes I already own (Arc'teryx stuff mostly), and save myself lots of money, PLUS be better hidden/broken-up in the woods!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and all the great examples!

I picked up a full leafy suit at walmart towards the end of last season on sale for $12 and I love it. Cant wait to use it early bow season here in Texas where its going to be in the 90s and have shorts and a tanktop underneath. Also the mesh is thin enough I think it might detour the mosquitoes but will still bring the Off just in case.

I swear by mine. I live in south ga and it stays hot here. May get a few cold days here and there in Nov Dec but its always shorts weather. But during bow season its in the 90s.

I bought a mossy oak leafy suit from Walmart years ago. Every time I wore it the deer spotted me immediately. Maybe it was made out of some bad fabric I don't know but I threw in the trash.

Ah man ! Thought that was my secret! Lol.... Early (Bow) season I wear a short sleeve camo Tee, and then add the leafy top half. Started mostly for comfort, has proven to be comfy , cool and concealing... Am a more confident archer thanks to AJA... Keep it up!

funny story, I was trying on a leafy suit in cabelas and was standing in front of the mirror with the hood pulled up seeing if it made a difference. After a minute or so I moved to take down the hood and this woman screamed like she was dying. Two of the employees had moved behind me and were very close before they saw me move and it scared the beejeezus out of them. I figured if it could fool employees in the their own store it could fool game so I bought it. Probably the best hunting gear purchase I have every made.

question: how do you wear the leafy suit and your hunter orange at the same time? All I have to hunt is public, orange is required due to squirrel season at the same time as bow season.

The leafy suit, as bulky as it looks, is just fluffy, not bulky. I have worn regular orange vests over top of it without a hitch.

Do people find the brown or green suit to be better? Looking at using for deer and turkey hunting.

I never had an issue with the green suit working year-round. The brown I imagine would be the same situation but I have yet to put it to good use in the field.

Never been an issue for me from what I can tell. My success rate with turkeys and deer hasn't gotten worse that's for sure.

I just hand wash them. Throw them in a 5 gallon bucket of detergent, soak for a few minutes, rinse out, air dry. Only wash them once a year at most really.

I wash mine with all my other hunting clothes just turn it inside out so leaves dont snag and then hang dry them.

The camo loose leaf suit is the easiest and least costly way to have camo. I own the green suit and the brown suit. I know from experience this suit breaks up the human form and really helps fool animals. I've had coyotes and deer within 10 feet of me and never know I'm there?

Deer, elk are monochromats - they don’t see color much at all. Put on your various leafy suit, stand/sit in front of a tree or Bush and take a picture with a camera/phone set for black and white. It is the overall hue that matters most. Too much black or white and it stands out. Good hue combined with the 3D effect of the leafs and you are invisible!

Sorry! But it's not! Been using them since 2017 and have you seen any "advertising" in the meantime? Nope. Not a peep. Just trying to help everyone at home make good money decisions when it comes to buying expensive hunting clothes when they can cover what they already have for a fraction of the cost. Sorry you don't agree with saving money and sad to see you go!

I have to admit liking reviews of good price for value items as I cannot afford top of the line and getting frustrated with not-fit-for-the-purpose cheap ones. Maybe presenting something more general on getting dressed for hunting and insisting a bit less on specific items and brands you found to work particularly well? Your enthusiasm and dedication to communicate what you believe in (very teacher like :-) ) is an inspiration for us beginner archers.
