Issac frost is the worst thing in this game. So fake n overpowered.

A truly good player at Fight Night would have no problem facing someone using any of these tactics. Some of them do get annoying though.

No disrespect bro, but I had a problem with spammers also but they have a weakness agianst SKILL. Even if they are cheap it is still a chess game. There is always a way to beat spammers and all you seem to do is stick to your gameplan so of course they will continue to win. Switch it up.

If you slip every power straight, they set themselves up for counters. Throw power body hooks opposite the side they threw the punch on. Rack up about 10 or 15 of those, and their stamina will be so low that any punch they throw will drain it.

Great video. I'm new to online and kinda new to the game(just picked back up gamestop) I honestly use about 3 of these tactics and didn't even know it was cheap. I always try to play sim in every sports game I play so I'm glad you posted this so I adjust my tactics accordingly.

love this video! everything you talked about I've experienced before. i hate it so much it makes me have to fight super defensively which is not fun for me. as of now i still play fight night even with all the bs. it is very difficult and rage inducing but i just love fight night. it sucks that all these cheap players fuck up a great game.

The "shove/punch" tactic is the cheapest, most cowardly move in the game.

I always pick my fighter so that they have time to account for it, especially if I’m going to pick Frost I make sure they see it

I really dont know what EA can do to prevent this down the road. The game is nearly unplayable online..every chrsp style shown here is a typical night on OWC. I have finally decided to care nothing for my record. Now I just look for good oponents. As soon as someone starts spamming I stop boxing and let them knock me out. I send them a message that I dont box spammers and move on. If everyone that actually did this these people would tire of playing 45 seconds and get bored and leave

Good video. That's pretty much all of the spamming styles I come up against. You should have briefly mentioned the push straight spammers as well lol. The worst type of spammer is the running backstep straight/sidestep uppercut fighters. The reason behind this is because the majority of the highest ranked players use this style, and it's incredibly annoying to fight (and pretty much where all my loses come from, even though I still generally win unless they're very good at it)

The only time I can agree with body spamming, is when you meet someone that constantly runs away so body spamming helps you with slowing them down also it helps with the power straight spammers by allowing you to counter them when they are fully out of stamina. If you are not using it like this then you shouldn’t play the game because it makes it unfair.

runners are there to catch, if you cut off his runaway lane then he cant go anywhere right ? jabs and hooks to the body do a good job

i really love this game. Im a huge boxing fan and always try make the fights realistic, i have a counter punching style but usually just with the jab (although not spamming it) and build up points waiting for the other guy to lose stamina. I agree with your whole video EXCEPT the aggressive body punching part. If i trap a guy on the ropes i unlesh the body shots aggressivly, i may not do it the whole match but i dont see the issue. A quick question tho, does this game give draws? Cause most of my fights go 10 rounds these days and sometimes 1 judge scores a draw but the other 2 always give it to the other guy or me whatever. I think draws would be cool.

Sounds to me you 2 weren't good on defense because the first few times... Yes... they were annoying, but after that i caught on to the timing and it was over for them... After that, they were really not a problem at all For example the push & power straight, that one was easy, you either throw about 5 jabs at his face as he is pushing you, or if you time it right weave back and counter with a power punch as fast as you can prompt it. And of course if stats aren't on your side then theres nothing you can do but defend as best as you can and save your stamina thru the first half( i always managed to be at 100% up til the 6th or 7th round), then go in for the kill in the latter rounds

9:35 other than the power right hand that is actually how Klitchko fights...he also holds a hell of a lot but he normally throws under 50 hooks in a 12 round fight.

I understand what you guys are saying and I really appreciate it. You can't really enjoy online play when people are playing like this and thinking they really accomplished something. To be honest, I am guilty of the body attack but I'll usually only use it if I can't get the head and I use it just long enough to wear them down until I can get it. Epic Video, this is the only game that can make me Rage Quit, it gives me that Gross CoD feeling when that happens lol. In my short time playing this game I've encountered all of the Above my Two Biggest gripes are the Side step Upper cut and the Ninja Frost Pickers. This is a Great Video, well Done Guys

i love this video because i have the same problems but i dont suck though i just really hate the straight spammers,and the ninja picking. If your gonna pick Frost then do it, dont hide with the boxer next to him. I simply know how to stop these cheap tactics, just need the right fighter

For me, I prefer fighting the straight spammers because at least they come forward and they're not looking to go 10 rounds. The runners who never engage and try to eak out rounds by landing a couple jabs here and there are the worst. They absolutely make my blood boil lol.

If it works keep doing it there is always a counter to every move, you gotta make sure you fight a person in your level

Is a lot of side stepping cheap of just when using the right uppercut? I side step alot to try and replicate the use of angles in real boxing. What about side steps with hook or str8s?

I get accused of running all the time on FNC and it fucks me off. People quit out after 1 or 2 rounds or they just abuse the shit out of me. If somebody comes at me, I move away throwing out occassional jabs... If they go backwards I come forwards throwing out ocassional jabs... Im always looking to land a bigger punch on a guy once they stop moving and the jab let's me judge the range. I'm not going to go toe to toe until I need to, or have to, that's how you get knocked out. Runners are guys who land one or 2 punches and then NEVER come forward even when you stop chasing them. If you start going backwards or not moving and the other guy comes forward to engage you, then the arent runners... They're smart. If they stay on the other side of the ring while you stop moving and they just tuant or weave in one spot without doing anything, or just moving forward and back without throwing a punch, that's a runner. I hate runners, and I hate spammers although I can usually beat them. But guys who spam and run I have problems with. I can block, dodge or avoid 20 mike tyson uppercuts in a row and dominate all fight but one gets through, ONE and its game over flash ko, knockdown, cut etc. Stat card usually reads my accuracy 50-60% with all punches used at some point, opponent accuracy 20-30%, only the left or right uppercut used, not one other punch even attempted to be thrown. I don't mind getting flash KO'd but not by spammers it don't mean shit but they brag like they skilfully beat me

I've lost against and learned to foil all of these cheap tactics while still occasionally losing to them. Btw, a little counter-punching head-movement goes a long way.

may i add another one? that is when you get knockdowned and it's in replay mode your opponet always press round on ps3 and x on xbox 360 when the ko punch come in

yeah it is if your just stepping in order to get a cheap counter i try to step for the same reason you do but i will walk at times btw its cheap if you do it the way the clip showing in runners

Heres my tip...Not everybody is going to fight fair to your standards....ITs LIFE FOLKS...LIFE ISNT FAIR ALL THE TIME....SO....with that being said here are my tips...."runners"; whether you like it or not, the runners objective is to be on the defensive pickin you apart from the outside, i mean come on...your aint gonna tell SRL to brawl with the more powerful Hagler on the inside right? So, if your Hagler and SRL is dancin and movin, YOU CUT THE RING OFF!! TRAP HIM ON THE ROPES!! GO TO THE BODY!! sound easier said than done right? well so is real life boxing. NINJA PICKERS...9 times out of 10, these guys really have no true skills...so since u think you are more skilled, out smart the guy, frustrate him, use ring generalship, as long as YOU are dictating the pace, doesnt matter who they pick, the fight belongs to the smarter man. same goes for the over powered boxer...ive fought with a welter weight hearns vs middle weight carlos monzon, obviously i cant just walk monzon down,but guess what, i still won based on the fact that I used my longer Jab, fast legs, eventually the fight stopped on cuts, tko. POWER STRGT SPAMMERS...simple, avoid that punch, counter it, eventually they will tire themselves out. spammers are good at that ya know. for the rest of the spammers...ADJUST, a true master adjusts to any situation.

when I fight online, if the opponent won't show his ratings for punches, I just don't fight. I show mine until they catch on. how much fun is it to get totally out fought but have their straight right is on 20 and mine is 3

Body spam, 1-2's, runners, and straight spammers i don't have many problems with beating anymore, unless it's a really good (BAD) straight spammer. But the sidestep maniacs are truly the most annoying spammers in the game, especially the ones who run and do it repeatedly 30 times a round. Css02 is AWFUL. Heads up if anyone plays this cheap exploiter.

What punching styles do you recommend when creating a boxer?

this is what running really is, constantly moving around the ring and not throwing a single punch because u don't want to be caught in the exchange......but as soon as he throws punches, lands than you, higher percentage than you (potshot) then he's simply outboxing u from the outside. hit and not get hit is the name of the game folks

I don't see what's wrong with 'runners'. Have you ever heard 'fly like a butterfly'. Chose when to go in, land punches, and get away before you get hit.

Lucious freaking Palmer is a HUGE runner but he still gets knocked out trying to steal rounds

was listening to this while playing fight night and had to pause it body smashing isn't something that's annoying or spam worthy, etc. It's skill, that thing you can use in this game to smash people who spam setting up the body sets up the longer game, where most players will either quit or continue, but it chops down that tree. aggravating to the other guy, yea of course, well maybe he shouldn't be spamming so much where he runs himself down

All you have to do is hit a body spammer with a left uppercut if they are in orthodox stance. Also you can use their aggression against them with counter punches mainly the jab. Runners can be beaten if you have them come to you. When you fight power boxers with long arms ex. George Foreman you can use Mike Tyson or Joe Fraizer to beat them because you can fight them on the inside and disable their punches attack low then when their head is open you should throw combos to the face and head and knock them out in the 3 or less rounds of a 10 round bout.

I do agree some of these are annoying if you do them all game. Some of these are just strategies used in boxing, and there are ways of fighting against it. A runner you have to corner or get him on the ropes. A power straight guy you have to get inside or counter it. A body spammer you do step back punches.

The ninja picking is really annoying. I've had it where I've completely outboxed Frost and lost despite having a connect rate of 66% to their 35% or so. And then they do that watching all three replay bullshit and an illiterate message at the end saying 'u shit bich' I don't mind losing, even if it's against a spammer because that's my fault for not adapting to the spam. But losing just because the other character is overpowered and can't be damaged then it's just not enjoyable. I don't even think it's possible to beat a Frost player who runs holding block and occasionally jabs.

I don't care how my opponents fight it's my job to find a way to win,that's the challenge. If everyone had the same stamina,power,speed etc people would complain about that also. It's no fun telling someone how to fight either it doesn't matter it's all about skills to overcome when your skills are up you can win...Some people are simply not as good as they think they are...

Runners? Its called boxing not slugging. If you cant stop them then go to the body. Its an effective way when tyson rushes you and pounds the body. You let them punch themselves out.

Body spammers are actually extremely easy. Just block the shit out of em, and occasionally counter with a jab or straight. These types of fighters are so poor all around, they end up having 40% stamina by the 5th or 6th round, and at that point you can take them down pretty easily.

I don't mind fighting spammers, runners, ninjas etc...etc.... They help make me a better fighter. The satisfaction that I get from beating a spammer using a modified isaac frost or any overpowered fighter for that matter, is Awesome. That is the clearest indication that your fighting IQ has improved. IMO everyone Can AND Should fight which ever way they want. I have been able to adapt and beat all types. Not all but Most of what was mentioned in this video is a part of real boxing.

I do run. Step back straight. My owc is usually 6'8 88 reach. No body spam. No frost unless my opponents do first but it is true if he is ir 1st pick u need him and i can beat him with my fav jack johnson.

The main problem is there is no penalty for these guys who use this. We all know that a fighter would get tired from doing all that mess.
