hi benjamin. thanks for the video. I have a question about User Purchase Journey. It is sufficient for me and I don't need to create a new funnel report. But User Purchase Journey doesn't work at my GA4. I see only the first column full. How can I get data about the other columns (view product, add to cart, begin check out and purchase). thank you in advance.

Great content and very helpful! Ist there an easy way to include user_engagement as a step into funnel exploration? I do not see this standard variable in the list of dimensions. Could you pls. advice?

Hello guys, can sb help me? In my Google Ads Display campaign i excluded India and many other asian countries yet most of the traffic is from India. How is this possible? And Google says "we are not responsible for this" as usual... :(

Did anyone else having the same issue? Only the initial start_session event shows up in User Purchase Journey funnel.. All events however are being tracked successfully.. I have add_to_cart, begin_checkout, and purchase events successfully being registered in the "realtime" view and with all other related screens, but its just not showing up in the User Purchase Journey...

The User Purchase Journey report uses a closed funnel, so if you’re missing the view_product event, this results in an empty report. Other issues I’ve seen include data sampling, data thresholds, and purchase journeys across domains where the device ID (i.e. client ID) changes so the events aren’t tied together at the session-scope.

@@LovesData I have tried to turn on as a open funnel, but it doesn’t reflect on the spot. Suspect because I didn’t enable to send e-commerce details when setting up the e-commerce event via GTM.

@@angielow9606 Yeah, it’s not retroactive and you can’t adjust Google’s default User Purchase Journey report, you can only create a new one.

Can you choose the attribution model used in the funnel report, or does it require a temp change to the entire account for attribution.

Hi Jared, the attribution model is set at the property-level, so you would need to change it there. However, the default is now the data-driven model which uses Google's machine learning, so I don't really see any point in changing this myself.

Bot filtering is built-in to GA4, and currently, the only other option would be to prevent the tag from firing in Google Tag Manager. However, I haven’t had any noticeable impacts in my GA4 properties.
