A can of gel alcohol. Slow to boil, but good for warming 'readies'. Flexible cutting board or bandana for a clean work area. Fill a spice bottle with bacon fat. A no stick coating for the pan and a flavor boost. Some popcorn for evening snack. Shelf stable and likes bacon fat.

Nice! Seems like you could fit a small cutting board in the bottom, with a sharp knife. Or, if you could find one that will fit, one of those rectangular aluminum baking trays would make a nice plate. The one I use is about 9x12x1, so probably too big for this lunch box. But if you could find one, it would be cool. If not, just fold up a few paper plates and stick them in there. I saw someone do that with a homemade MRE and that is a genius idea. To go along with your spices, a very small bottle of oil, or some of those individual packets of oil would be good for cooking.

I'm a huge fan of STANLEY ADVENTURE GEAR, have been collecting their gear for years. I put an additional cross body adjustable strap (has clips on each end) using the same metal strap rings that hold the shorter hard handle. Having the second strap allows me to either cross body it on my back or adjust it for a Fanny Pack style keeping both hands free when porting my kayak or for a short day hike. I put a multi tool, flat military style Can Opener and a flat Wood Stove w/Waterproof Matches in mine. Also a mini Spatula and Long Handle Spoon. Otherwise my setup is virtually identical to yours! I mainly use mine for Fishing and Kayaking day trips, or a quick trip to our local parks for that easy SUNSET 🌇 COOK UP. WORKS GREAT👍!

I've been looking at the stanley lunch box coffee station videos, but using this box for a small chuck box is a much better idea than a simple coffee station. As an artist and writer, I travel to events and end up cooking on the road often. I'm thinking of tucking a mini kitchen in one of these boxes for my car. I couldn't fly with it, but for road trips it would be awesome. As for extra gear, I'd include a long spoon set. Great for stiring food in your pots and for eating out of backpacking food pouches, a small cutting board, hand cranked coffee grinder, canister for coffee beans. Love your spice pouch, but I agree it is too large. There are little round ones with four or five spices that would have a better form factor for your small box. I'm glad to see the stanley two cup cook set fits! I had wondered about that and feel it is a much better choice than the usual thermos.

Most would suggest a multitool but I love a simple folding knife like the Victorinox serrated “tomato” knife - a slightly rounded tip. I like the French nogent can opener - small & mighty but I guess even smaller would be those flat army can openers…almost the size of a razor blade. Some would put in a multitool like a corkscrew/bottle opener. My favorite utensils would have to be the gerber spoon/lifter/tongs combo or a simple silicone narrow scraper - to get all the last goodness out of a jar. And of course those tiny scrapers for help with cleaning food off before wiping….perhaps with those tiny towelette tabs (size of a large mint) that grow with water.

I would add a paring knife (fashion a small sleeve with tape cardboard to avoid being cut when fumbling around in the dark; a small P38 Army can opener for any canned goods you may pick up; I use a small red plastic backpacking cutting board made by Coghlan's (found in most low-end camping sections of sporting goods stores. If not a paring knife, a mini-rectractable bx cutter is helpful for opening food pouches, etc. A tip I picked up from eating MREs in the military - don't open pouches at the top, slice along the edge, you don't need a long spoon to reach the food at the bottom of the pouch and it's less messy.

The GSI Glacier cups (or Ozark trail clones) nest almost perfectly on the outside of the Stanley 2 cup adventure pot. Put a scrub pad between them and you'll have a solid fit that doesn't rattle. You can take the plunger from a cheap IKEA or Walmart clone French press and it'll fit the inside of either the glacier cup or the Stanley pot almost perfectly. I cut the push rod down, heated and hammered the end flat, and drilled it to accept a split ring rather than keep the plastic knob it came with, but you do you. I, personally, like to have a dedicated kitchen knife for cutting so I don't have to worry about my main utility knife potentially bring contaminated with something and spreading it to my food. If you just need a cheap little paring knife, you can get those minimalist fishing knives in the wally world camp section that will get the job done and come with a low profile plastic sheath. I mentioned the flexible cutting board hack in another comment thread, but I should mention that they work pretty well, even in the field. Having a hard, flat surface to put it on helps considerably, though. Who makes the spice kit?

It’s from Amazon. It’s cool but way bigger than I needed for this kit. Would be great for a full camp kitchen though.

Good suggestion. Maybe a small set like ice cube tongs would be a good fit.

You have no place to carry your food. So you have to have another bag/ container for your food

There is room in the thermos if you’re carrying a small amount of uncooked items but this is more about an easy to maintain kitchen than a full service solution. I usually have my big chuck box and a cooler when I’m camping. This would be much easier to keep up with.
