Todd Huber, the founder of the Skateboarding Hall of Fame Museum, has been building up a museum collection for decades, going around buying anything and everything he can find that feels like a piece of skate history. We paid him a visit to check out his behind the scenes storage room(s) and get a glimpse of all the goods he’s been quietly amassing in his archives not yet viewable to the public.

I have respect for his will to keep the history of skating alive, but that’s about it . This man had a firm grip on skateboarding for 20+ years in Simi Valley, more or less a monopoly. He did everything he could to prevent a free public skatepark and it didn’t help that his father happened to be the mayor of Simi Valley; year after year, we would be promised a free public skatepark by the city and for some reason or another it would be swept under the rug. Finally in 2018 bob Huber (his father) was on his way out as the mayor. Skatelab closed, and with the efforts of the local kids badgering city council, after all this time when literally every surrounding city for miles has had their own free public skatepark/skate plaza we finally got our public skatepark. Without a doubt no thanks to this man Todd Huber.

Yeah I legit don't understand why like, Vans or Powell ain't hooking this dude up somehow. He's got so much Birdhouse shit, like c'mon Tony- we know them pockets be deep.
@versnellingspookie
@versnellingspookie 2 жыл бұрын
@@SDXStudio why would Tony be responsible for displaying someone's belonings? This guy could sell a lot of rare items out of his collection that are gathering dust anyway and will never be exhibited, and maybe pay for a space that way?
