Hi and thanks for the detailed video! We are glad that our InfinityBook Pro 14 is well appreciated and would like to add two comments: Price: It is important to note here that if you order outside of Germany, the German VAT is eliminated and therefore the price changes. This is the reason why Jay says in the video that the price seems a bit high to him - VAT was included here - see in the picture of the shopping cart in the store at minute 14:51 - (incl. 19% VAT). NVIDIA and Intel graphics switching: We plan to introduce automatic graphics switching in the foreseeable future, which will then allow automatic switching between iGPU and dGPU without rebooting. The only thing missing is a GUI for control, so that the switch can be carried out as easily as possible. We will keep customers and interested users up to date on this.

@Mohammed Mesum Hussain Hi, thanks for your comment - we can allay your concerns: We offer dualboot Windows and Linux, so the warranty does not expire. The OS has no influence on this. Yes, we offer a student discount. For this we need a photo / scan of a recent and valid certificate of enrollment or a student card. For distributions other than the ones we offer in the store, we can't guarantee that the devices will work 100%. But most of the time everything works very well. Hardware support is independent of the OS and software support is for the programs and distributions we offer. An exception are our Manjaro devices - here the software support is done by Manjaro directly. For further questions or advice, please contact our support team!

Ordered that model 2 months ago. It really has everything I ever want from a Laptop. Only downside being the battery life...about 5-6 hours with normal work and some media for me. The battery has very low watt hours, probably because of space and weight reasons. I don't need more, but take that 12 hours with a grain of salt. Otherwise I can recommend the Laptop without hesitation. Display is great.

as the reviewer said, if you turn off the nvidia gpu you can then reach 12-13h of battery life, with nvidia gpu enabled, it wouldn't last a workday. did you try that?

I bought the InfinityBook Pro 14 2 weeks ago and I'm suppose to get it at home in 2 days. I got the ANSI version with 32 GB of RAM. Unfortunately there wasn't the option to get the ANSI Keyboard with the NVIDIA GPU. It's my first Linux based laptop and I was looking for a hardware that could get close to Apple's build quality. This video made me more confident about receiving a looking good laptop!

Enjoyed the Video. I'm a fan of the newer bezels that make use of the whole top side. I like my screen real estate. Appreciate the video and the reminder to go dual channel on the memory if selecting this model. I'm holding my breath for a System76 competitor but if not, I might be using this as an excuse to visit Germany and go shopping 🙂

Tuxedo lets premanufacture its devices by a German OEM company called Schenker, located in Leipzig, Germany. Considering the pricepoint you mentioned I decided to save a little money and get it there directly as a Schenker sister model to the Infinity Book in January this year. So I configured it as 1 x 14.0" IPS | 16:10 | 2880×1800 px | 90 Hz 1 x NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti | 4 GB GDDR6 1 x Intel Core i7-11370H 2 x 8 GB (16 GB) DDR4-3200 Crucial 1 x 2 TB M.2 Samsung 970 EVO Plus | PCIe 3.0 x4 | NVMe 1 x Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 | Bluetooth 5.1 1 x Backlight Keyboard | German 1 x 36 Month Base-Guarantee | Pickup & Return 1 x SCHENKER-Logo on Display Cover 1 x Energy Cable C6 | EU for an end price of 1.994 EUR . That saved quite some money, but to the price of lower battery life than Tuxrdo's adoptions allow. And I am absolutely convinced by this machine. I drive it with PopOS. It is a little dream come true.

Wooww, I'm impressed, I'm now seriously thinking about this laptop, even though I'd mostly run W11 (and hopefully macOS) ... It's all I want from laptop from side I/O as well as kbd/tpad, and component/performance perspective.. Is the "Linux laptop" the "ultimate laptop" ?? I only wish there would be HDMI on the left and SD card reader ... But can swallow that pill anyway, I'd probably use DP via USB-C on the left, so whatever ... I'm only curious about BIOS/(U)EFI, is it fully unlocked, how much access/customization does it offer? P.S.: You unfortunately have chosen the worst time for the video, their website is just down for maintenance, supposed to be up until May 4th but postponed to 6th.. :P

I am about to buy a new computer and I as a student feel a bit overwhelmed of all computer choices and configurations, may I ask you? Can we skip laptops and just work on a desktop with ethical hacking, machine learning, or in modern society in these fields of work will we always need a laptop to handle jobs that require that we bring a computer to the location that is going to be hacked or projects where you do some machine learning or can it all be done online? Just gonna buy a new computer and really like to know if a desktop will be fine for the first three years for both study and small jobs that I can come to get! What jobs really require a laptop within cyber security? Please anyone with a great experience working in these fields and understandings Modern day computers please reply me and give some good examples of what kind of projects and jobs in cyber security that is best for a desktop and which jobs and projects that are better for a laptop! I have, about three times or so. I had every character at level 99, at least one of each materia maxed out, several master materia maxed out, both Ruby and Emerald weapon completely annihilated, and at least one of every item available in the game. In fact, my characters were so powerful I beat the final boss by simply laying down the controller and grabbing a sandwich. The counter attacks from my team members alone were enough to crush the final boss. I hope I can find that memory card some day.

Hi - Like many, I avoid asking linux related technical questions on KZfaq, due to the varitety of distros and desktop environments - I prefer not to, but since my problem is on any distro/desktop environment and Im really desperate to solve this. I hope you dont mind me asking.........I, with great regret am going back to Windows today, Ive been trying avoid it, but I KEEP getting crashes on a daily basis.......crashes that ruin my Linux installation. I believe they are Hard Disk related. I find this command " sudo sysctl -w vm.dirty_bytes=15000000 " helps a lot, but still the crashes happen. I get " Inode " related error messages. When I reboot after a crash, the computer often crashes again and again, more and more frequently until I have to reinstall Linux. Please - can you tell me, is this a hardware related issues...........is it my Hard disk.......would buying a new more Linux-Compatible HDD solve the issue??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Again, hope you dont mind me asking technical help here.

12:04, “When it comes to RAM, the base model starts at 8GB. But in my opinion, no computer should be offered with less than 16GB of memory in 2022.” I know that this statement is true, but it just feels so wrong to me. I remember the days when RAM was measured in a few megabytes -that is, 1/1,000th of the numbers we’re talking about now. When I went to college, having 128MB was way more than enough. A system with 1GB seemed unimaginable. What happened to those days, when we knew how to do more with less, and swapping was just a regular fact of life?

That's such a great point! When I mentioned that during the video, I was thinking about when I first started learning about computers. I asked about how possible it would be to have 1GB of RAM in a desktop, and the person that I asked (back then) responded by telling me that even an extremely wealthy person wouldn't be able to afford that, much less have a motherboard created for home use that could support it.
