Loving having Linux laptop reviews in general. After Christmas now, having gifted my old XPS 15, I’m on the market for a new personal laptop and as a daily Linux user (but daily driving Windows 10), I’m comfortable enough to make the switch to the desktop (laptop) now too. So… thanks for this!

Thanks for the video always enjoy watching. The question is how easy is it to get inside. If it's fairly easy and you would use it as a daily driver try and reach out to the company and see if there is a fix

Nice looking machine. I won't buy it, but it's good to see laptops using Linux to achieve something that is mostly niche for Windows users. Overall, it comes down to support for key components and the games that you run. All that aside, any computer that can game this well can do everything else better than most laptops as well.

Some of the tuxedo laptops have slow memory card reader. What about this model? This day's even the micro SD cards go 285 MB/s. Transfering 4k video from SD card 20-70 MB/s is gonna take entire hour on 5000 MB/s SSD.

I am getting 6hrs of battery life with this device (5900HX/RTX3080). Just make sure that dGPU goes to d3cold state when not being used, limit CPU frequencies, and make sure that you didn't disable module-suspend-on-idle (for solving cracking problems while using external speakers). Everything is perfect except the keyboard...

The trackpad looks identical to the clunky one I have on my Slimbook Pro 15. Exact same size and shape, and same dot on the top-left. And, apparently, same clunkiness (eh it's fine, I use a mouse 99% of the time). In fact, when I see the general design, and the barrel power plug (which is a big plus in terms of long-term reliability in my opinion), I suspect the laptops from both brands are being supplied by the same factory, with some case and ports customization. Not a bad thing in any way, just an observation. And obviously I might be totally wrong :D

I wouldn't be surprised, I'd bet some of the components are used by quite a few manufacturers.

When talking about a linux-based OS, why do reviewers focus on the GUI? I mean, you can switch Window Manager by simply installing another one.

If you recommend your Subs Tuxedo, you will have no respect from the fans. The quality of Tuxedo is really at MSI level.
