I've seen it a lot this season, we go one up and then just knock the ball around without purpose.Possession without purpose is dangerous and and pointless because we are inviting mistakes at the back and not putting thier back four under pressure at the other end. The three best teams in the country at the moment don't mess around at the back they get the ball forward quickly. Jackson is struggling at the moment ,looks like he needs a rest.

This is genuinely the point now where I feel like there is no hope left for this team. We had 0.44 xg to the worst team‘s 1.53. Both our goals were lucky because Sheffield lack the defending ability and wouldn‘t have gone in against any other team. The defense looks open every single time opponents get the ball, it always feels as though we play with 2 men less. I am not overexaggerating when I say we need a whole new backline except for gusto. Take Maatsen back, buy a good cb that’s already established and not a talent because we can be damn sure colwill and fofana won‘t be playing more than 5 games together next season with their injury problems. I hate to say it because we can‘t do anything about it but our 250 million quid double pivot looks like it‘s worth 50. They just haven‘t clicked yet, Caicedo has so many poor touches and for the shot from hamer he got done by a fake shot and still let the guy take it onto his strong foot and take a dangerous shot. I think Poch needs to change his formation. I would use 3 CB’s with Thiago in the middle (protect him and his lack of pace), flanked by Disasi as RCB (Levi when he is fit) and Cucu as LCB (thats where he played for brighton). Wing backs should be gusto and chillwell. Then play enzo in the centre midfield (where he played for Argentina), and then Caicedo and Chukwemeka/Conor on his higher flanks. Then a revolving front 2 of whoever. Cole and Nkunku/Conor/Mudryk/Noni. Basically a 3-5-1-1 or 3-5-2

I’d be open to Ranieri coming back, he’s the most underrated former Chelsea manager; he took a flaky bipolar exhibitionist Chelsea side and made us much more consistent and better organised. He left Mourinho a reliable strong team unit to take on & win the title in 2005.

if you hire a midtable coach, what are you expecting? Surely, you will be a mid-table team. Pochettino had Messi and Mbappe and other superstars, he couldn't deliver. PSG quickly sacked him. Chelsea must do the same at the end of the season..

This is getting silly now. Poch inherited a lot of these players. The good ones just happen to have been injured a lot. There's only so much you can get out of a 2nd string back four. As for our midfield we've not been to rotate so it makes sense our mid is struggling. Poch is realistic the only manager that can actually make this work. Any other manager would have to start from square 1 at least he's had a season to get to know a few of these players.

I have given Poch time and the benefit of the doubt in most games during this season, but after this game, I now see the light. I was hoping he would work out for us as I want stability for once at chelsea, but he hasn't hit the mark, and he has to go. I know we have had injuries, the squad is young and naive and that is mainly the owners fault bringing in such young players, player errors etc., and it can be easy to just blame the manager, but he hasn't and isn't coaching these players the way others could and would. Yes it could work out with Poch, but when? As Emma Hayes correctly put, this is fucking Chelsea, we as fans and the club cannot wait 3-5 years for a potential project to work, especially when we have seen near to no progress this season. The owners aren't going anywhere and they have caused more issues than poch overall, but at the end of the day, these players are good enough to not be in 9th, battling in mid table against the likes of Brighton/wolves/Bournemouth, and that mainly falls on Poch. I would give him at most 5-10 games at the start of next season to see where we are at before potentially making a change, but ideally i want him gone at the end of this season. I would Genuinely take Jose back, mainly because there aren't many others out there, but he would help bring the correct experiences players in, create a TEAM, remove the egos from this young squad and help the team to mature quicker, that's what we desperately need ASAP. Or, I would bring an Amorim in, definitely not de zerbi fgs. Ideally, I want us to succeed with Poch, but its another bad decision made by the owners to appoint him, atm its poch out!
