I believe Poch earned the right to keep his job going into next season. However the real problem here is the names on this supposed uninspiring shortlist to take the reigns going forward. No disrespect intended towards these managers/coaches. This Chelsea is far removed from the Chelsea I grew up with yet we have to be aiming for a more established manager with top level experience

Success is relative and we need to be realistic about where we are and where we want to be. It’s all well and good saying that we are chelsea so we should be challenging for top spot, but reality doesn’t give a crap about what you think we should be doing. We’ve jumped 6 spaces. That’s good movement. We need realistic goals. Next season our aim should be cup finals again and top 4, 5 acceptable but disgruntled.

I'M 1 OF THOSE LIFE LONG FANS THAT YOU SPEAK OF , 41YRS NOW AND I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS WE WERE LUCKY TO GET 6TH AND WE DID NOT LOOK GOOD DOING IT , PLUS WE ENDED THE SEASON TROPHYLESS WITH NUMEROUS TOTALLY EMBARRASSING RESULTS , FOR THE TEAM WE HAVE AND THE LEVEL OF MANAGER POCH IS SUPPOSED TO BE , IT JUST WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH ! HE LOOKED CLUELESS IN EVERYTHING FROM TACTICS TO TEAM SELECTION TO SUBS FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE SEASON , WE ARE WHERE WE ARE SIMPLY BECAUSE PALMER TURNED OUT TO HAVE A GENUINE WORLD CLASS SEASON ! IT WAS RIGHT TO GET RID OF HIM 🤷♂️
@DTG1109611 минут бұрын
I think the most likely ones and realistic that we r gonna get are : 1) Kieran McKenna -> I think don’t rule him out, if he comes we give him a chance, bumping Ipswich two divisions is a respectable achievement. Omari Hutchinson comes back from loan and he sed the player he wanted sign was Hutchinson so this might be an incentive. 2) Enzo Maresca -> one of pep’s right hand men, and he has that inverted full back tactic which would work well with Chelsea. 3)De zerbi: he’s gonna get a good squad with Chelsea and he’s worked with mudryk, levi , and caicedo so he can bring the best out from them. In my opinion, one I see us getting is enzo.

Honestly, I don't hate getting rid of Poch, it just seems like literally any other time during the season would have made more sense.
@Xebthebarbarian17 минут бұрын
We can't believe that our injuries are to blame on our medical staff when those only come into the picture when dealing with injuries but players get injuries because of a poor coaching style and Poch's got a track record of crippling players...everywhere he went players get injured by the dozen. Let's look forward shall we?!
@Xebthebarbarian17 минут бұрын
Mudryk's flaws are yet to be corrected. Madueke is still a self centred player who hasn't improved in his linkup play. Jackson's finishing is still very poor. Poch hasn't improved our youngsters and Palmer is not schooled by Poch but by Pep and was only given freedom to experiment so at least i give that to Poch.
@Xebthebarbarian17 минут бұрын
We only won games towards the end of the season because of the brilliance of our players like 6-0 against Everton that was all Palmer especially that first goal when he nutmegs Branthwaite and linked up with Jackson anyone can see that was all Palmer's skill and amazing instinct not tactics! We won against Forest because of Caicedo's amazing long range passes and Reece's precision crosses. We barely won against Bournemouth in another struggle session again due to individual brilliance.
@Jaymoney_9718 минут бұрын
I want Enzo for the City link 🙏 Apparently the mystery man is Amorim but because he has a cup final on Sunday its being kept under wraps, don't want a 3 at the back system again really but let's see
@Xebthebarbarian13 минут бұрын
You know apparently reports came out claiming that Amorim flew on a private jet to London see 'West Ham' and this was all covered financially by our owners lol. We know he was in London to hold talks with Chelsea not West Ham and probably it's all kept secret because of his cup final in Portugal. That's why Fabrizio is sure that Chelsea will announce the new manager in days not weeks...it's already set up.
@Xebthebarbarian18 минут бұрын
Poch also said once that up front they are just passing it to Palmer to solve things...like wtf!!! Mudryk has the ability to find insane progressive passes,he is direct and has pace but still rushes and takes poor shots or makes badly timed decisions on when to dribble and often makes runs nobody is able to read because they don't train tactics hence players did whatever. How many goals have we conceded at the back post like the one Bruno Fernandes scored against us at the Bridge...tons of those never addressed!
@Xebthebarbarian18 минут бұрын
Our high possession was only happening because we often times passed around laterally especially at the back with no aim to progress the ball hence opposition teams felt no threat and allowed us to waste our energy. Often we conceded goals while passing around aimlessly and being pressed. Up front the only 'tactic' employed was to press high(hence why he loved a workhorse like Gallagher) and recover the ball and in his own words 'let the players express in the way they want to play' meaning allow the forwards the freedom to be creative and come up with ideas because he thought them nothing.
@Xebthebarbarian19 минут бұрын
Poch was no good. He crippled our squad with his insane fitness demands and misused our players. Enzo isn't a box to box midfielder no wonder he suffered with hernia and Poch lied about it saying stuff like Enzo isn't taking injections when he was also Poch said that Enzo had no break in two years and he pushed him to his physical limits when Enzo is a technical player why try to make him into a Gallagher copycat? Poch is at fault for that hernia! Gallagher isn't technical or creative to be a nr10. Chilwell as LW? Colwill as LB?

Exactly. What was everyone’s stance on Christmas after the loss to Wolves? How about 5-0 to Arsenal?? We can pull out receipts because NOBODY wanted Poch after those games. Sure, he got the team firing in the end but he had ALL season to do so. This flip flopping from the fans is disappointing.

Im a huge chelsea fan, and this isnt the worst for our club hear me out. DONT let 5 good games fool you, all this season has been to incositent with chelsea, dont forget we lost 5-0 to arsenal and a 1-0 defeat to middlesbrough. 2-1 defeat to a shit utd team. Poch was never the right manager. And Chelsea board have learnt from last season instead of firing when alle of us was shouting at them to do, but instead they was smart and waited the season and analyzed the situation, and came to the right decision "were not gonna win trophies with this man". De zerbi isnt a bad shout, you saw the things he did with mudryk in the cl against madrid. And he was the manager that made caicedo good enugh to chelsea was willing to buy him for 115 mil. On top of that he also wanted cole palmer at brighton before chelsea wanted him, he's a manager that also have a good relationship with lewi colwill. So he has a good resume working with young players, so he could easily go and do a suprising good job with ours young and big potential squad. Would much much more have de zerbi than Poch.

Personally I quite like the geeza - he's a good communicator, decent manager and most importantly he's got charisma 😏 however, I can't see what he has to offer that Poch doesn't. It's got Graham Potter vibes written all over it... Eghbali is looking for someone who doesn't exist! Such a donut.
