As an American on the other side of the pond, I am thankful for all the news, press and rumors you share with us. I confess that I was unaware of George’s history going all the way back to eight years old. He definitely seems like a talent we need to keep. I pray that he won’t fall prey to the ‘pure profit’ temptation in the future. Perhaps once we have settled on our squad there will eventually not be a need to constantly sell academy players to keep the FFP/PSR wolves away from our door.

If Bayern & Dortmund are showing genuine interest in Maatsen, why would he agree to a swap deal involving a striker whose barely playing for a Villa team that won't make CL football next season. If Chelsea were to sell Cobham graduates, I'd prefer that they prioritise the biggest & best clubs in world football. I like what we did with Tomori, RLC & the move that Christensen made by himself. The talents at Cobham rn should look at players that didn't make it into the first team but be assured they can make it to a Barca, Milan, Dortmund, etc. These are clubs that they've seen in their lifetimes compete at the highest levels. My point is don't try to shove players like Maatsen & Gallagher to a PL midtable team that had flash in the pan season like Leicester did all those years ago.

Again, keeping Maatsen isn't an awful idea. Poch didn't like his size. But, Poch is gone. He's fast, can invert, is great with the ball at his feet, and is a PPA that can be sold for future. If we can keep him and sell Chilly (love him but he's not irreplaceable), while balancing FFP, I'd be thrilled.

Theres NO WAY you can do a swap with Gallagher. The whole point of selling gallagher is pure profit. If you do a swap its not profit. heck even selling them, Gallagher and buying Duran in separate deals makes some pure profit. A swap doesnt. its absolutely stupid way of doing things with academy payer. Players that ARNT pure profit (Chilwell say - not that they want him) then fine - but not academy payers. It's about time we call this what it really is. Over-hyped Brazilian youngsters who have not proven themselves beyond their little clubs get presented as the next big thing in football. Many of these kids have not seen money beyond their lunch monies and they haven't developed their characters either.They are then farmed to vig European clubs on big wages only gor them to abysmally underperform. Recently how many of these Brazilian and South American wonderkids have gone on to be really successful? The likes of Neymar, Robinho, Vampeta, Ganso, Pato, Kennedy, Anderson, Denilson all have proven to be either unable to adapt to life in Europe or unable to manage success and publicity. Its like plucking unripe fruits and expecting them to taste the same with naturally well developed fruits.

My prediction is a top eight finish next season, we won’t need to sell the Mathew Harding or any of the other stands, as some have been suggesting, and we should be able to keep Palmer if we can get back in the Conference competition

Chelsea are very funny , you have Armando Broja & you want to sell him or swap him for an equally unproven John Duran. Chelsea is lacking strikers and yet have one for now & the future yet being blinded by seeing the other side as greener😅😅😅. The decision makers in CFC need to revisit their model. Broja was never really given a chance under Poch after his long injury. Uf he was given half the chance Jackson was given, i believe he would have scored more goals, because he is technically good, able to use both feet, aerially capable & would cost Chelsea nothing than wages.There is a beast in that kid & he has a passion for the club . I just hope CFC doesn't regret letting him go for cheap. The cases of Salah, Debruyne, Fikayo Tomori etc just comes to mind as they are lining up for a repeat of the same mistake.
