The players are young and they’ll miss chances, they’ll learn but need time. Poch if he has a major fault is that he’s reactive and not pro active. This is I admit a major fault in a manager, like Southgate he lacks courage in that dept. The great managers like Pep and Klopp are very pro active and brave decision makers. I think the players will improve but this is going to take time and patience. We will get there but maybe without Poch in the long run. 💙

@@patm6018 Jiminez has been rubbish since the injury. If Jackson is the worst striker in the league then Broja is League One level. Jackson still has double figure goals and his build up play and ability with back to goal is really good. He's linked up really well with Palmer. He's just not a good finisher. He's a good footballer and a bad striker. He does everything well outside the box and is awful inside it but he still has a decent amount of goals. Just say you don't watch him play and are judging him based on one game. The fact that you think Broja and Fofana who have been utterly useless are better than him shows you don't know what you're talking about. Jackson isn't great but he's far from the worst striker in the league.

Villa fans used to say the same things about Watkins as Chelsea do Jackson. He wasnt clinical or composed enough in front of goal. A good manager in Unai bought another level out of him, so I wouldn't write Jackson off yet. Saying that, Watkins was still better right from the off and his attitude has always been great. I haven't seen enough of Jackson to know if that penalty nonsense is indictative of character.

As crazy as it sounds, stick with Potch as he will know the issues in the squad and what needs to be done better than anyone. If you bring in a new man it will be more of this same next season relearning the same lessons with the same crop of players who aren’t good enough especially given the timeframe between the Euros and pre-season.

in normal circumstances i’d agree that pochettino is out of his depth, but looking the chelsea of the last couple years and how all these managers have done, i’m not sure it’s about the manager anymore. i think whatever manager comes in would struggle at first. only way to come out of it is give a manager the time to turn this collection of players into an actual team. just changing managers every year is never gonna do that

Jackson is young, causes problems and works hard but he's not at the level to be starting as a number 9 for a top prem club. So frustrating as i saw it coming. Who would of thought our best signings would be Palmer and Gusto, both have been top class this season
