Sarriball revolves around Jorginho, if Jorginho is taken care of then it's the enemy team are in advantage. This is one of the flaw of Sarri ball. Spurs tactically pressed Jorginho out.

Jorginho is a great player. The difference between Jorginho Napoli and Jorginho Chelsea is that Napoli’s wingers are smarter than Chelsea’s. Hell, Napoli’s players are smarter than Chelsea’s. In Napoli, he was delivering some amazing passes but the wingers were making great runs. Willian can’t make a run to save his life. As great as Hazard is, he’s not your typical wingers. He likes to sit deeper and getting the ball at his feet. He does make runs but not as often. Pedro is perfect at making runs but Pedro is weird. He’s on fire one week and dead the next. Our fullbacks can’t make runs either, they are not very agile either. Azpi and Alonso can’t make a damn dribble, great run, or a cross. I was hopeful for Alonso at the beginning of the season but never mind. Chelsea gave him a contract too soon, those poor idiots. Our midfield is not as smart either. Kovacic doesn’t seem to be Real Madrid Kovacic. Kante is not offensive. Can’t really make runs and passes. Our striker is the only one making runs, yea offside runs. Defense is a joke. This is still a team in transition, in rebuilding stage. It’s amazing that we’re still top four.

i'd choose kante all the time as DM to protect defense which is already not good with luiz and alonso weakness .. then after you protected the back you can think how to create and score goals .. maybe jorginho beside kante to help in build up with kovacic in more attacking position or just keep 433 with swapping their current positions!

I love Sarri as our manger and his brand of football, but I do think we needed more versatility, rather than playing the exact same lineup almost every game. I think Barkley deserved to start and I believe Christiansen deserves more game time. Great vid as well

Karan Chima sarri is inflexible, this method of trying to pass teams out the park is not an effective one in the epl.

Always knew this guy was eventually going to be exposed, he’s a coach not a tactician and you can see that by how predictable his line ups and subs are. Sarri manages chelsea like how I play fifa ffs, he’s going to understand that this is not Italy and he will have to quickly adapt to the fast pace of the epl, just strictly trying to pass teams out of the park on every occasion will surely be his undoing. He’s definitely the least talented out of the top six managers and I think his age has alot to do with it.

Hellooo Sarri, you still have Christensen... Why Luiz...??? Btw, Jorginho need a friend to play well... Look at Barca system with Xaviesta... Busquets become the wall, Xaviesta play the with ball... Why not try Kante become the wall, Jorginho and whoever can play...

As a Chelsea fan, I have to say Luiz is not as good as he was before. He might be good with ball at his feet, which is important ability for Sarri's play, but we need solid center back like Chiellini, Godin or even Van Dijk. Also, a striker who can score 25+ goals every season.

Alfred Clement sarri's system doesn't have a place for a holding midfielder. jorginhno is a deep lying midfielder and important for the build up play. kante's passing were all instructions given by jorginhno he always tells to him where to pass the ball. And plus Conte is a defensive manager not a counter attacking manager he parks the bus more than mourinho if Chelsea were playing counter attack with Conte the team would score 80+ goals in the league like Liverpool

Sarri believes in passing our way out of trouble and tight situations..intelligent short passes is all there is in sarriball...same is peps philosophy..will take time for players to fully adapt..itz the future of football..a modified aggressive version of tikki taka if u like...goalkeeper has become relevant bcoz of that...that is the crux of his philosophy i think..secondarily come the line hugging wingers and inverted wingers and other nuances

The problem with sarri ball is you need to master it before it looks unbeatable , hats off to spurs they played well and tactically out played us , As a realistic fan i knew top 3 was the goal cause City are just too ahead we need to give a go till jan then possibly look for a cb and a striker like marko A , all in all i think players will adjust through the course of the season cause some players i.e azpi arent comfortable being on the front foot all the time (PS pep almost didnt make top 4 first season RELAX)

As a LFC fan i have to admit Arsenal made a better purchase than Chelsea , Arsenal bought Torreira for just 24M who is a better D.M than Jorginho , i don't what Jorginho does on the field , he just passes sideways and backwards that's why he gets a lot of pointless passes , he doesn't pass any clinical pass.

If you've really watched the video you'd realize that opponents base their tactics around stopping him..... That's how good he is. Soon you'll say Xavi was not a good player. He controls Chelsea's game. Stop him and you stop Chelsea.

Njoka teams want to stop him bcoz he is part of the build up and the other thing what is the work of a D.M a D.M is known for tackles , interceptions he does no where near that , the other thing is that most of the time he gets the time he just passes sideways and backwards , you mentioned Xavi but Xavi used to make dangerous though balls and long balls that used to split teams defences apart but Jorginho does nothing like that he does not tackle he does not pass clinical passes.

@@belaciao6905 It's not Jorginho's fault. It's more of Sarri's. According to Sarri's philosophy the deepest midfielder is responsible for build-up. They call it the regista role in Italy. I don't see that changing any time soon. It would help though if he played a double pivot of Kante and Jorginho to prevent a disaster like yesterday's.

In my humble opinion Jorginho is extremely underrated. As Jamlick already said every team tries to block him, and Tottenham were the first team o succeed at doing this. Also Chelsea's actitude was very poor in this game. There were times in wich they could have found him easily but they weren't focused enough. Hell, I haven't seen Kovacic control a ball decently during the whole game. I think that Sarri's only mistake was not to subb Barkley and Pedro at halftime (Kovacic and Willian looked like they were having a coffee break during the game). Second, the fact that Jorginho plays in the middle of the midifield doesn't mean that he is a defensive midfielder. Would you expect Pirlo to have the same defensive effectivness of Busquets?
