This is a version of 'Chemutengure' that fast rising Mbira virtuoso,Tendai Mavengeni & I perfomed on the 20th of November,2021.The performance was part of an online lecture that we did together on Mbira music & the Mbira guitar for The African Studies Association Outreach Council.This is an organization which has membership of universities across the USA and the World over that teach African Studies programs.Enjoy:

I love this. She has a piercing voice. It hits 🎯 the right spot of the soul. Mbira is a powerful instrument. The Mbira tuning on the guitar is ecstatic.
