'Light Of My Life' is the title track of CHEN's first Japanese album called 'Polaris', but he has already released 3 mini albums in Korean. He debuted as a soloist on April 2019 with the album 'April and A Flower' and it's title track 'Beautiful Goodbye'. I can say that it's his only album full-ballads. Later that year (October) he released his 2nd mini called 'Dear My Dear', on this album he gave us a variety of genres... not only ballads (as others will tell you) it's title track 'Shall We?' Is brit pop. For his 3rd mini Chen changed his formula and gave us a different genre for each song, 'Last Scene' was a truly masterpiece cherished by soondingies (CHEN's solo fandom). Chen decided to start his solo journey doing ballads, because he wanted to challenge his singing abilities, he himself said that he knows his voice fits more rocky style but that h wants to improve and not stay on his comfort zone. He also mentioned that for his next album he wants to try jazz... hopefully that happens soon 😁

This is from his 4th album, Polaris, a Japanese album. His first three albums were ballads and in korean. You should give a listen to this full album, only 6 songs including Light of my life. The album have different genres, even a rock song. Thanks for reacting to Chen.

pls check out this album.. he really outdid himself w/ this Japanese album. he did various music genres on this one since his 3 previous mini albums are mainly ballads. btw, Chen said that Light of my life is in female key & is one of the hardest song to sing but he does it effortlessly.

You are right Chen's voice fits this genre of music. 👍 Also try listening to Baekhyun's Bambi ❤‍🔥and D.O.'s Sombody. 💝They are the other 2 Main vocalists in EXO. But also try listening to 4 fantastic voices in the group Forestella. Listen to Forestella White Night 🔥or Forestella's cover of Despacito.❤‍🔥 Their voices are amazing.💞
