I've used toothy, wide headbands, drill a hole in the thickest part of the plastic and flathead screws for antlers myself. Coverings the screw head with a piece of scrap fabric. This method is especially nice because the screws can usually go through whatever mesh the wig is without damaging it and can make it able to be disassembled for packing, cleaning, adjustments and more, the headband keeps the pieces stable and unmoving and is lightweight enough that you can sneak a lot of weird stuff up there, like battery packs for lights, hardware for ears and more.

I've been trying to figure out the best way to attach the screw to my wig for Stein from Soul Eater! This is super helful, I'm gonna try making a base like that.

OMG yes!!! Make a base and a headband underneath!! You can even directly attach the warbla to a headband to make it even more steady

This helped a lot for my moxxie cosplay. I just screwed the horns into a headband through a wig, but the horns are still to heavy and I need to use hair pins to keep the wig in place 😅
