Once again Brad, you can see from all the sawdust in the area where you've been cutting up the you get your new gravel in. It would be nice if you could get some wide rubber mats for your cutting. Be near here and that way. It's just a matter of sweeping your youth and the skidge deer and cleaning all the saw doesn't breathe up off of your new gravel rather than just letting it pretreatment it

I know you have the "Perfect Stick" but you might want to look into the laser mounted on your saw for measuring. When cutting logs into firewood, as you do, it is very fast and out of the way all the time. then you're not going back to cut after you mark the log. Should be able to get one to demo on the channel since this is your process for bucking!
@CantBuyTime-vg6pm

And always chasing batteries and inconsistent lengths of rounds. I've heard more problems than good out of those.
@nmancini
@nmancini 4 ай бұрын
Inconsistent lengths due to the design. Nice idea but the laser isn’t for me. The simplicity of the perfect stick keeps consistency. The mingo marker has been fun too if you haven’t given that a shot yet
@jeffdutton2500
@jeffdutton2500 4 ай бұрын
@@CantBuyTime-vg6pm I have not tried one myself. You have good point with the batteries issue. I guess I will stay with my process of the whiskers like Chris in the woodyard does - no batteries and nothing in the way for continuing the cut
@FirewoodattheFurnace
@FirewoodattheFurnace 4 ай бұрын
I’ve heard good and bad about those. I’ve tried a lot of things such as chalk, mingo marker, wire ties on the saw handle, etc. This method works best for me and I’m used to it now so I just stick with it. I wouldn’t be opposed to giving one a try though
@LogCabinFirewood

I still want to try one of those laser ones too, I'm sure with some trial and error we could learn to love them.

Hey Brad! Can you tell me how you do your pallet bins? Are they standard 48x40 pallets? How many face cords in a bin?
@FirewoodattheFurnace
@FirewoodattheFurnace 4 ай бұрын
Yes they are 48x40 pallets. I lay them out and put the dividers every 8 feet. I only put 2 rows in them and leave an air gap between the stacks. I personally feel it dries better but that’s my personal preference. I stack them 4’ tall so I get 2 face cords per section
