The top is so pretty. Oh, great, a video to show us how to crochet the tiny motifs and how to join them. Whenever time permits!!! The 2 granny squares looked great. I think the red orange looks better. The little squares you have crocheted thus far are gorgeous. I like all the colors.

In the world of quilt making they have little boards that they lay their squares on, similar to what you mentioned…oh Fuzzy Felt that was such fun. I love the colours you picked for the perhaps a ziggy, I thought I recognised that yarn lol… so not your colours BUT that scarf is so beautiful and the colours you have picked really suited you when you held them up that I hope you end up with something you love and if not something you want to wear maybe Miss M would enjoy it….. lovely projects as always…. Oh to meet up again! One day ☺️❤️ and that flower blanket!! OMG

It was so nice to see you again, Sandra! And so much fun seeing all of the things you have made. Your tiny motifs top is amazing. You have so much more patience than I 😄 I can see your dilemma with the brightly coloured single skeins. I have the same problem...lots of single skeins in different colours, and don’t know how to use them all. Some of them are going into a three strands held together simple iris stitch blanket. It’s a lovely project, but getting too warm to be working on it. I’m also crocheting a continuous granny square blanket using four fingering weight skeins in colours that are sort of analogous. But I need to get a bit more adventurous and try some slightly more complex stitch patterns and start making motifs. Would you believe I’ve never joined motifs yet? So silly. Your blanket pattern in progress will be stunning, by the way! I am a huge fan of Scheepjies yarn (slightly biased...my Mum’s family is Dutch 😂). Maybe that is a pattern that I will really get my teeth into when it comes out, and I will stop flitting from project to project! Take care, and enjoy the summer 😊💕

The yarn name you couldn't make out looked like Starships to me...And the new flower blanket is going to be beautiful. I have loved your podcast for years and read your blog religiously. Only recently have I commented on any video anywhere. The bobbing a long blanket brings joy and the flowers are just my thing. For me the neutrals rest the mind and let the individual yarns sing. My mother was an art teacher, so I know everyone sees things so differently. A picture of the ziggy makes the aqua more green, which to my mind balanced out the strong red better than its true aqua color. Do not force a combination just to continue. I think you always know when something is right for you. You inspire me and so many others.

love your Emma jumper. I watched this in the wee small hours whilst sleep eluded me and I thought your garish project would work well in a crochet stripe blanket and thought your Spice of Life would work well (I was a bit late to the party and am 2/3rds way through it). First thing this morning I had an email to say the Spice of Life Revisited is being launched with new colours so perhaps you won't be rushing to do another one😄

Hi. Here's an idea for your bright colors for Ziggy Interrupted - you can hold them all with a light beige or gray or even white mohair and all the colors will be a bit muted and then more cohesive. Could give it a try and see if you like it. Thanks for sharing!

Wow. Just wow. Everything is stunning: the Bright Star/Emma top is sweet; the doilies are elegant; the Bobbing Along piece is joyous; the Painted Anemones is fabulous and I can’t wait to see it finished. The project with the very vibrant colors seems to work best - to my eye anyway - as the small individual squares. I think that may be an easier way to manage the placement of the colours. You’ve inspired me to tackle my stash, though nearly everything involves granny squares because it’s just too warm here for cardigans!! Thanks for this loveliness.

✋ I remember fuzzy felt! Yes, that would be a useful illustrative tool to have on hand 😉 The doilies are lovely! And I admire your use of creative license to design your beautiful top. Can't wait to see you wearing it in a future episode 😃 Your swap-out with the burnt orange did make a significant difference with the potential Ziggy Interrupted, and I adore the rainbow waves you've got going on with the other project...I wonder how it would translate to interrupt rainbow sections with a band of solid colour? Perhaps the white would stand out too much, but am thinking of solid bands of each rainbow colour used...like rainbow, then a violet, rainbow, then an indigo, rainbow, then a blue, and so on ending with a red? That would be an interesting wrap, throw or blanket. Having too many choices of yarns can cause a slight decision stifle. I can somewhat relate with this. Your ideas all look promising! I love the colours you have to choose from, and will enjoy seeing the final projects. 🥰
@CherryHeart
@CherryHeart 3 жыл бұрын
Ahh good old fuzzy felt eh? Such a simple toy compared to things now a days. Oh yes I could wear that top next time, that’s a good idea. Will try to get my rubbish brain to remember that! Yes I think rainbow bands could work beautifully too and maybe show off the yarn even better maybe? I think you are right, so many choices with colour can definitely be a problem, so many potential ideas and possibilities it’s really hard to narrow things down sometimes. Thanks for watching lovely. ❤️❤️

How lovely that you are using a precious skein of Sarah's yarn ~ I'm sure she would approve of it going into such a bright and cheery project ❤😊 I really like the Ziggy squares but I wonder if you need the burnt orange or bright red at all? I think the other colours work so well together but its just that one which doesn't sit so happily? You've inspired me to empty my single skeins into a big heap and find some projects to make with them!

I like the pink tone yarn with the ziggy set the best, but do you have a blue that would go with them instead? I think both the dark pink and the burnt orange are just too tonally different for them to blend without being shockingly obvious. I like your rainbow blanket and those adorable rainbow flowers are so sweet!

Hello Sandra! Oh it's so lovely to see you in another podcast...so funny that I clicked straight on it, knowing it was yours but subconsciously wondering...hmmm, is this an old one that I've missed somehow?! Haha, so was pleasantly surprised to find it was brand new! I hope you have been well and all but fully adapted to our new 'normal' life as it were. Anyway, I loved seeing all your gorgeous yarn stash projects, and utterly amazed at the 'Emma' top! I understand what you mean about the Ziggy squares, not your usual palette tones but as they are such beautiful yarns of course you want to make the most of them... I'm just thinking if they are on the 'bright' side, you could balance that out nicely with a darker (but still matching) colour as the joining yarn and zig zag stripes in the project...something like the darkish purple in that Ophelia yarn? Even a deep blue or "night sky" blue/black would take the 'glare' off any overall appearance , but still allow those fabulous colour yarns to shine? Just thinking out there as one does! Thanks so much for the video and brightening* ( *word of the day🤗) our day with your wonderful works. Best wishes Lin.🌄
