Here’s your recipe!
1 - 20 oz can cherry pie filling
1 - 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 - 9 oz Cool Whip, thawed
1-2 cups canned pineapple chunks or 'tidbits'. well drained
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Combine all ingredients well and chill 2-3 hours. Sprinkle top with additional pecans if desired.

Hey Jill!! Yes I love seeing your beautiful face in the intro! I am all about this salad! I love anything involving Cherries!! I think the 70's was such a fabulous decade for sure. This would be great for gathering for something different!! It was such a pretty pink too!

Hi Jill, Sorry I haven't been around, just very busy. The new intro looks good, and you look beautiful as always. The cherry pie salad couldn't get any more 70's if you put a couple pet rocks around it and sang, 'Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head'. It also looked like the salad set up after it was refrigerated, The toasted pecans will make it extra tasty. Nice seeing you again!

Hey, Jill 🌻🍁💖. Oooh, this looks so yummy!!! The 70’s had some of the best of everything 😂🤣. This reminds me of a “salad” my SIL made called Cherry Coke Salad; dark cherries, cream cheese, dark cherry jello, Coca Cola. I probably missed something 🤣, probably cool whip. It was so good! I need to find that recipe 💞. Thank you so much for sharing and once again bringing back wonderful memories, sweetie pie ❤️

Hi kiddo! Love the new intro. If you alter the recipe just a tad, say add a tsp of lemon juice to stiffen the condensed milk, used caused pineapple it would go deliciously into a graham cracker crust. Top with toasted pecans and maraschino cherries.

This looks really close to something my mom used to make, only hers also had cottage cheese in it. For the youths out there, cottage cheese was considered a diet food back in the day. I think we should all bow our heads in a moment of silent gratitude for the existence of Cool Whip, for me it's childhood in a tub. Cool Whip? Cool Whip, really? I lived the 70s then and hated it. Hate it now. But you are being true to the recipe so I get that. I would try and love this with real whipped cream. Signed A Dairy man for many years.

From there, I love to hear where things go and if you're going to change it to real whipped cream, I would absolutely love to hear about how it turned out. I am definitely a true unsweetened whipped cream fan. Especially on a hot fudge sundae!
