This would be certainly true in a bullet game. One or two minutes are too hard to cope with when you have to switch constantly from the game to the program. But five minutes is more than enough. You just have to set your prg on 2 minutes or just force the moves when you want to...

Perhaps you could check chess games where each system has been played to see if you can find out how many GMs play each particular system to narrow down possibilities should Blondie be a GM.

the secondary account of: A) An elite GM (2700+) B) A very young GM, elite GM to be and that's it, by the way the only woman who could have such a rating in auto pairing blitz is Judith Polgar or maybe Hou. But we have nothing to claim it's a she.

there was an ending there that makes this guy human with funny technique. the one he simplifies to a pawn ending giving exchange back. and i 've seen carlsen doing that in some blitz games. but the style is not carlsens , so I don't know

Vladimir Kramnik^^ He was a Karpov fan as a child, so maybe he likes to play caro-kann und nimzo in fun games. He has no tournaments at the moment. And he has a blond daughter. But an engine is more likely, because even a top player would draw some games on this level.

It's definately either an engine or a super-GM. The clincal and cautious nature of his wins and his flawless engames point towards an engine user tbh. He never made a blunder, even Nakamura blunders on ICC occasionally. Most super-GMs on the ICC play flamboyant, experimental chess and their human nature means that they often make occasional slip-ups due to slips in concentration and/or complacency. Humans are not robots, yet Blondie never even made one small mistake. Am I being paranoid?

This guy is working painfully beautiful with simple pins and tactical pawn pushes to create passed pawn. I don't know. His game seem to have more finesse rather than a computer played game or is he a new version of Houdini :D

I agree it's quite robotic. One could make a chess engine play on the web with a very simple app. Even introduce a random time factor. I'm probably going too far,but not realistic though.

This is clearly Magnus, playing under agreement with ICC, using his childhood nickname as a handle. No one else could get away with this kind of play without being banned. He's using ICC to practice specific openings (d4, Caro-Kann, London System) without being bothered by the publicity his presence would otherwise bring.
@RoboPimp3000
@RoboPimp3000 12 жыл бұрын
They do exactly what you did: check his moves against an engine. They're obviously satisfied he's not an engine, otherwise he'd be banned already. It's not like he's flying under the radar. He's been the #1 ranked guy for months.

Carlsen aka "duhwinning" has ~2800 @33 games (30-1-2) @5 minutes. Also there are some gms at icc that show only their status not their name... So it is possible, but some moves just look extremly like engined helped especially in the endgame there are some moves I have never seen of any gm at such a speed ... My guess would be a fm/im/gm once in a while looking for a rediculious cpu move when it s getting close... But therefor not getting detected by the icc checks?

It is suspicious that Blondie is winning so many games in a row, but his play does seem quite human and natural looking. It is possible that Blondie is a human looking at engine moves and selecting natural looking moves in some instances, but playing tactically winning moves in others. Or Blondie may just be a very strong GM who wants to remain anonymous?
@spriteofbones
@spriteofbones 12 жыл бұрын
Listen pal, I went through all the game vs the first opponent, with houdini up and runing, plus I went through all the game vs KC with the same program runing. ALL THE MOVES played in response by Houdini were these the guy played, and I mean all of them from the set up position (around the 10th move, to the end). Please try and do it yoursefl, you'll be convinced.
@ThaAlkaholik13

If he was an engine user, he wouldn't be playing as fast as he is. Most of his moves are played within 2-3 seconds of his opponent's move. Plus, many of his moves during the end game are extremely precise when under quite some time pressure. It seems that this guy is just a better blitz player than Nakamura. It seems that there is a blitz player out there that's just better than Naka.
@spriteofbones

I can assure you it's an engine user. Else how come every single of his moves is what Houdini plays in the same set up? And I say every single move...

@RoboPimp3000

I think what's most impressive (and what makes me think he could be legit) is that even a person using an engine would lose a few games ON TIME, in a 5 min. game, against top GMs. Remember the engine doesn't speed up, so a strong GM could play an engine abuser equally until he was short on time and then try to flag him, theoretically. (Even KC has done this against engine users) But this guy wins every game. Very peculiar.

This is the only explanation to me because this moves are very human. The ending where he simplifies the position by the trade of rook and queen is completely human, avoiding complications. A engine probably have other "better" moves but much more risky. The problem is that if he is using a engine how can he play it so fast?

Who is Blondie - good question, I am afraid we'll never know unless someone asks the mysterious player. But I did some googling and if we belive that it's a she then the circle of suspects gets really small. There are only 27 women with the grandmaster title on the FIDE list (not WGM). Not all of them are blonde:) Now it's a 1.d4 player and a Caro-Kann afficionado. If you have a good database, please make a search. By googlind alone: maybe Antoaneta Stefanova? Former women world champion?:)

Facts alone don't get us anywhere. It seems easy to make a list of all the players capable of playing at this level and checking which use 1.d4 and Caro-Kann (plus fianchetto variation against the Gruenfeld). But you cannot limit the list just by setting an arbitrary ELO threshold, because it's difficult to compare internet and OTB rating. Eros, Eric Hansen, is only 2460 and he's near the top of the list on the ICC. Should the database search include all the people over 2400? That's too much

there are some people in the world who could do that, not many but there are some. Nakamura plays really weird stuff in a lot of his blitz games (not playing totaly serious). This guy is playing totaly serious every game. And of course this guy is GM, if he is not he is 100% cheating, but i doubt icc would have someone at the top of their ladder without checking him out intensely, and hes still not banned which makes me belivie it is legit.

It's someone inputing moves recommened by an engine. Someone who plays at this level and hides their identity is highly abnormal. If I was this good I'd show my face everywhere all the time. That's human nature. The best players in the world blunder on blitz games and this guy doesn't. I doubt that someone who plays better blitz games better than world class players would limit themselves to a chess website aand hide their identity...just my opinion.
