I usually view this as a way to get a delayed Kings Gambit that is favourable for white because if exf, which happens a lot online, it is basically a bad Schallops defence. Or the Queens knight Defence to Kings gambit with Nc3, although the opening database calls it a max lange vienna gambit - but that is a happy variation to be in, if a bit boring. But this D5 line is legitimately different. Going to have to look at it further. Thanks so much for the video!

Hi Perunovi c I missed the The Butcher I have a lot of your excellent vdeos too see .in the line 1.e4e5 2.Nc3Nf6 3.f4d5 4.fxe Nxe4 5.Qf3 Nc6 The main move 6.Bb5 leads to = but the "loosing" line ( Yakov Estrine) 7.Nxe4!? Nd4 8.Qc3 seems playable for a Gambitter (I am) who try to avoid endgames. I check the line with my DroidFish it's far from loosing...Best regards

I always play 1.Nc3 and if black plays ...-Nf6 I normally play 2.d4. But it may be worth to try 2.e4 instead, I suspect e5 is probably the most common reply, and then Vienna Gambit is posible. Will watch! Thanks in advance for the great content.

@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial I am trying to craft my white openings around early Nc3 so I can transpose them to favorable versions of each other. My second purpose is black rarely faces these openings at my level and stops and thinks early. In this line of thought I have been playing 1. e4 Nf6 2. Nc3 and they either go into Vienna with e5 or more often play d5. What is a nice plan against 1. e4 Nf6 2. Nc3 d5

In the main lines, after Qf3 Nxc3, databases seem to show a split between dxc3 and bxc3, and bxc3 has always struck me as more natural but you prefer dxc3 and don't really comment on this choice in the video. Do you have any quick thoughts on this choice?

@altaccount7318
@altaccount7318 Жыл бұрын
After c6 there's Nd6+ Kf8 (Kd7 leads to forces mate) Nxe5 Qxb5 (best move as other moves lead to a crushing attack so sacking the queen is best) then Nd7+ Bxd7 Nxb5 and you're winning.

Interesting, but if you want to make a video from Black's point of view, "the butcher" with Black would be something like this: 5 ... Nc6! 6.Bb5 Bc5 !!? A very very interesting pawn sacrifice. 7.Nxe4 dxe4 8.Qxe4 0-0 And in my opinion Black has compensation for development and almost certainly for the bishop pair (after Bxc6). For example: 9.Bxc6 (the best according to Stockfish) bxc6 10. Nf3 (10.Qxc6? Loses) ... Be6! with idea of 11 ... Bd5 with compensation. Not bad right?

Your videos are fantastic in information and you have my respect, and appreciation for that. So thank you. My apologies for not picking here but please slow down and do not make moves without verbalizing them. Example @2:31 you move Nxe5 so fast and don't actually say anything about that move. Then you've got white at d4 before I can realistically what you've just fine. Even @.75 speed, it's fast and again you've not actually said what you're doing physically with the pieces. I'm sorry to say that after close to 20 minutes of watching this particular video, I'm caught up to about roughly 5minutes. I'm not trying to say the video isn't good, but for someone like me who is just learning the Vienna system and the different variations of it, like the Gambit accepted, declined, the copycat version etc.. this isn't for ME. And with countless Vienna system videos out here, I'm trying to find a way to make the best of this one but I can't lie, it's tough to stay with you because I'm not an 1800 player. ( Yet ) ty for hearing me out!

Hi Miodrag I am 2300 lichess player and I play the vienna gambit for a long time with great sucsses, I also teach this openning to my students because its such a great openning and you covered most of the important concepts and moves in one video and even I despite the long time I played this openning learned some new things from this video. I worked a lot on thoery in this openning and I have some beautiful variants that I want to show you and I am sure you would enjoy from. Contact me if you would like that I would share this amazing variants with you and trust me that I found some line that even more beautiful than the brilliant Nxe5 with the mate by migel najdorf. However I dont agree with about that Nxc3 is the best for black after Qf3, f5 is the strongest in my opinion and Nc6 also lead to a decent position.
