Ever since the King’s Indian series finished I have been hoping for another series based on a particular opening. It’s super helpful to see a GM play the same opening over and over so that us noobs can actually learn and retain by seeing the repetition! Thank you, sir! Looking forward to more!

Never resign. Especially at 900-1000. I've won many games when down several pieces, and I've also lost many games when Up several pieces. Besides that, it's a great time to try new ideas.

I like seeing the opening at different ELOs because its more realistic to what we face. Look online about london theory and my opponents never play those moves. Its nice to see here how to punish especially that early c4 when the bishop comes out.

This is fantastic! Only things I would wish for is to add building habits to the cilmbs (from level 2 forward) with these openings and give a quick rundown of common patterns to know like Aman did for most openings in building habits (like how to face the caro and sicilian). Thank you for the quality content!

I was at a concert when I saw the famous chess streamers chessbrah. I went up to them and asked for a photo but they slapped my phone out of my hand and said “plebs don’t get rights”. I told them I was a sub but they just laughed and said “wEll aCtuAllY”. Then out of nowhere a Persian man they called “Moj” whipped out a bamboo stick and started hitting me with it until I managed to get away. Don’t support these guys.

I never understand why people say it’s so important to get the open file. If you have an open file first. They can put a rook into the same file with your rook. Or vice Versa;you put yours in after. Now it’s the same. You both have the file. You can both take eachother

Looking forward to the rest of this series! I have a couple of questions if anyone has the time. In the last game, anything wrong with an early c4 instead of c3? Also, is e takes d4 always the choice because it restricts the knight on a6? 25:40
@RG001100
@RG001100 2 жыл бұрын
cxd4 followed by Nc3 is fine (it's the reasoning behind playing c3 in the Alappin), but I think exd4 is preferred in this setup because it looks like a nice way to attack black's kingside. (e file is open, diagonals against h7 and h6 are open). I'd dream of moving queen to c1 or d2, then to h6 (especially in the position at that timestamp, when black's got g6 moved). idk what drawbacks there are to c4 in the last game; but black fianchetto'd the bishop on that diagonal, so c3 is nice in blunting the bishop's pressure on d4 (or b2, a1).

Great vid! Recently I was crushed playing London, black played d6 first move (after I played d4) and I didn't know what to do, I eventually played Bf4 hoping that my opponent won't play e5, but he did... After that he completely took over my center and I was just lost. Any tips on how to deal with this situation? Thanks!

What positions would you choose to put your knight on c3 instead of pushing your c-pawn? Thank you for these instructive videos.
@chessgains8075
@chessgains8075 2 жыл бұрын
It dosent seem like Aman will do that ever in this series. Knight on c3 without pushing c-pawn would be a Jobava London system. I play the London and I personaly only play knight c3 like that when facing the modern defense. Like Amans opponent did last game 24:30 But Aman did not and I know its a good move there. So it looks like he will only play more traditional London.
